Okay, I got hold of the group salesperson there and asked a bunch of questions. Of course, I didn't know how many we would have, but she said a group could get tickets for the dinner and show for $39.66 which is a lot better than the $59 and change they charge for a regular ticket. I asked her how we could pay for this as I'm sure no one wants to put everyone's ticket on a charge, so she said we could get discounts in groups of three or four. I looked it up on their website and actually it appears to be cheaper (although she may have been quoting me the price with tax or something) because a group of three would be $111 (or $37 apiece) and a group of four would be $136 (or $34 apiece).
Anyway, the show times are Friday - 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm (which would be too late for our SR's to get back to base) and Saturday at 1:30 and 4:00 (and another later show which I did not write down). We could decide when we wanted to go, and I could call her back and ask to be seated in a section together. She also said that when we found out how many, that we could call the national number and maybe they could work something out.
So what's the will of the people? Personally, I think Friday will be a big day and our sailors might be tired, so I was thinking Saturday would be a better day, but hey...I'm easy to get along with.
Let the masses speak!

Just a note - I went to the show a year ago and it was amazing. The food was really great, and the pre-show entertainment was fun. The pre-show stuff includes a torture chamber museum, medieval faire themed games, a horse viewing area, and costumed antics, all in a HUGE lobby area. You can also get either tacky but fun souveneigrs such as flags and princess hair wreaths, or really nice ones - swords, knives and stuff.
The actual show includes dressage (horse dancing), a joust (yes, on real horses), and lots of trick riding, all part of an elaborate storyline with a princess, an evil knight and a valiant prince. You are served during the show, everything is finger food, you can use a knife if you want.
Chris, seated on a torture "rack" in the torture chamber. If you are at all squeamish, don't go in. It has rather elaborate descriptions of how each torture device was used, including the iron tongs in red velvet case to the left of the photo - which is a "breast ripper" (aka instant mastectomy), used to extract confessions from "witches."
And there is plenty of action. It is "active" enough that they drop a net between the show and the spectators during some scenes.
Ok, someone said it was really far away from where we would be. I don't know, but I thought I'd mention it.
It took about a half-hour for us to drive from the front gates to Medieval Times. The location is well within the RTC 50 mile liberty limit. It's worth the short drive.
