I already got an outfit to wear.  I agree with Sailormom,  this is their moment to shine.  I bought a grey/silver outfit...  Those
Dress Blues will look mighty fine next to that.  I just hope I don't have a puffy mom face!  That is highly likely.  I wouldn't mind wearing a ribbon though.
I understand completely about the puffy face. I even bought waterproof makeup and then when I was getting ready I decided not to wear the foundation. I was too scared of getting it on her uniform. (Dress Whites in Summer) And somehow she still ended up with make-up on her uniform. I think her Dad's new wife did it lol. One thing for everyone to remember for the White Uniforms when they finally wear those SHOUT Wipes are wonderful, they work very well and they sell them at the NEX. Mommy Erin if you would like to order ribbons just send me a friend request. :)

Our boys will shine.  For whatever it is worth when ship 12 looks out into the audience and sees all of the families in whatever color the group decides, I feel they will get a warm glow from the pride displayed.  It in no way is meant to detract from their big day.  It is our way of identifying with their group.  So whatever you all decide we will do!

Sears has scarves on sale for $5.99.  It is white with metallac threads. I think our loved ones would know that we would be doing this as a unity for our pride, love and solidarity for them.
I would like for us to decide what we will do about this by Friday, Feb 11. That will give us time to shop over the weekend. Is that alright with everyone?
OK with me. I vote yes, white scarves.
I vote White scarves.....will show up better and easier to find....
Okay with me too
La La the Ribbon Lady, will we have a "special" ribbon, no matter the color of the scarf?  I'd really like an extraordinary ribbon....Ladies?  Thanks so much can't wait to meet y'all!  : )   Yes, you guessed it...Central Texas.   :  )
White's good for me too!
Truth4KIds, LaLaRibbonQueen sells PIR ribbons. I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and some others have too. Here's the link to her page:  http://www.navyformoms.com/profile/Lala.

LaLa Ribbon Lady, will you be making some extraordinary ribbons, regardless of the scarf?

Thanks
