Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi, I have not heard anything either. It is driving me crazy, I was doing okay but now that I have not heard anything yet I am a mess :( I was under the impression that we got a phone call sometime after they get there. I am trying to think positive and now that I know that I am not the only one I realize that maybe for some reason non of them have gotten to call home.. Hang in there :) I will let you know if I hear anything.

I found that if you stay busy it helps a little.I already started writing letters so when I get the "letter" he will have lots to read and know that I have been thinking about him and sending him all my love and strengh. I hope we hear something today so we can get excited about the next step in this process :) Graduation !!!!!!

Hang in there yokie, my son left last week and i did not hear from him after he left the airport. The next chance they get to call won't be for about three weeks but you will get the box in a couple days and then a form letter a couple days after that with his address and PIR info.

Hi there, my daughter left yesterday as well, for boot camp. When she arrived in Chicago she was able to text me and let me know she was there. I also recieved a final call saying she had arrived at the base around midnight. I hope that helps. I was told it could take up to 5 hours to process them. I know I am a little nervous as well. I am happy that I found this website though. I think it will help alot. Any other mom's out there that have a child from Miami, Fl in boot camp?

Hi Cheri, I am glad you got your call :) Do you know if she was told to call or did she call you on her own? Kenny had his cell phone but I have a feeling that it died because he is constantly texting :( So his phone died and I know he left his charger behind...

I got the call from the airport and I got the call from the base both on his cell phone. He got there around 11:15. Did not mention any tragedies happening at the airport or on the way. Keep the faith. All is fine. It is very hard having blind faith but if they can muster up enough courage to JOIN THE NAVY we can be brave and wait for the letters and calls. To help with my stress I have purchased some work out DVD's and when I am feeling wigged out I pop one in. I will be so slim and trim he won't know who I am at Graduation (either that or when the phone rings I won't be able to lift my hand to my ear!) lol.
