I sure hope so!
Eee! Phone call! Eee!

Got a phone call from my SR today!  It was the best!!!  He sounded tired but good.  He passed a physical test this week.  He is one of the lucky ones that don't have to have their wisdom teeth out :)  He talked to me for about 10 min and the girlfriend 40.  Good thing I like that girl :)

Mine needs his wisdom teeth out. Why do they do that if they don't bother them?

I got a very brief call last Friday. I'd love to have more time to talk to him

No--I only heard from him last Friday when he called to get a name and phone number for a security clearance(??--he always wanted to be a spy when he was younger...)

He was talking like there was someone standing close by, so he just told he liked it and he made the right choice--that was it.

Oh, and he did tell me that they fold a lot of clothes---and I would fit right in there

There probably was someone close by!  Maybe he will get to fullfill those spy dreams now! What is his Navy job?  Hopefully you will hear from him soon.

I hope so. I'm really not used to going this long without hearing from any of my kids.

He is going for cryptology tech. How about your son?

Mines a Suber...He's going for Submarine Electronics Computer Field (SECF). He's really excited about serving on a Sub!  Go figure!  :)

Mine wants to be on a sub. He's STG right now but is hoping he can get reclassified into STS through A school. (He's actually gunning for advanced electrical.) I think if I were living in a metal tube, I'd go stir crazy, but he really wants it and was disappointed by the STG instead of STS.

I can't believe how much better I feel today, just having talked to him last night.

I am so laughing right now! That's how I felt when he said he was going to serve on a Sub!  He's also 6'2"tall! He told me he was one of the tallest in the div and is always in the back!

I also feel much better today after talking to my son yesterday. I definitely slept better last night.

And lisap...you like to fold clothes???  Want to come fold mine??!

I hate to fold clothes--I think that with 5 kids that is what they always saw me do---that and drive!

SSMom--my son is in the back with yours--he's 6'4

Lisa, I had a quick call as well last week..my SR needed a number and address for security clearance too..And he sounded very much like someone was over him! Did you get a call this week? I had a quick call yesterday...not as long as some of the others but glad to have what I can get! And, same here with the folding clothes with 5 kids!! The laundry is NEVER "done"!
