My son's recruiter called to ask for my help on his college transcripts and gave me my sons address. YAY!

He left feb 8th I got his Kid in a box on the 11th   and  called his recruiter on  the 12th and he gave me his address so  of course I have sent out 5 letters so far :)  I havent recieved the form letter  as of yet but am looking forward to it and  a call from him too I hope  His recruiter  didnt have the graduation date for him as of yet said  maybe the end of this week just depends  when they finish all the medical stuff according to him none the less I  am excited and of course still throwing pity parties for my self  but am sure that will  become easier as the days go by ...:)

Michele-

I received my sons box Saturday. Maybe you will be the lucky one and get the form letter with the PIR date so we all can know. I live in Northern LA county but my son shipped out of Seattle. My sons recruiter didnt have his PIR date as of yesterday afternoon either.

Well as soon as I get it  I will definetly post it :) ... I am sure you will beflying  as well when graduation hits correct ? I have seen alot of posts  thru the forums  and alot of people  fly into Milwaulkie  said it is a straight shot to the base  so am thinking I will do the same
Thanks, I cant wait to make arrangements. I have actually been looking at flights from LAX to MLK on southwest. Unless I can find a decent price on a direct flight. I rather not go through Chicago on a Thursday night to get up to Great Lakes.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO got  the form letter today was so excited  to see that  great lakes address ......... so according to  the letter  they will graduate  on April 8  so 49  more days ...... he sounded upbeat  in his  5 line  note  said wow mom this is some crazy  SH%# hahahaah   said he hassome other lettersready to send  and those go out on Sunday  so I will  for sure be scoping the mailbox  next week  :) hope you get your form letter soon Hugs Michele
I am getting so excited to get home and HOPEFULLY have my letter too. I am excited for everyone. I will let you know when I get home in about an hour whether I got mine or not.
Im waiting  did you get anything ??????
Did your son leave Seattle on 2/9?  If so, were you able to come up for the swearing in ceremony?  My son left on the 9th and I have some pictures with a few others in them, maybe your son is one of them.  I would be happy to email to you if you think its possible.  No box here yet, but I wasn't expecting it this soon, my older boy's took a over a week at least.  I've been guessing the PIR date would be 4/15, but that is based on how long it took 2 1/2 years ago when my older son went in - so this will be interesting to see if its sooner.

Roberta-

My son left Seattle Tuesday 2/8. That would of been great if it was the day you had pictures. There was nine of them that left that day.

jennifer

My son reported to meps on the 8th, but left on the 9th.  There were 7 in his group.  Sorry I couldn't share pictures with you.  Got his box yesterday, but still waiting on the letter/phone call with all his information.  I learned with my my older son that you have to have patience and nothing is predictable!

My letter came last night from my son and I sent my letter to him today. Such a relief to finally be able to contact him! The no contact has been the worst!! Does anyone else have a son on Ship 11 Div 122??
