YAAYY! Yep they learn that team concept real quick :) I'm glad that we're all receiving the letters I know I feel relieved and ecstatic. It sounds like all our kids are doing good :)
YAAYY Lil's mom! Aren't you feeling great, I know I am?! Reading what your daughter said is like deja vu of what my daughter said :)
I found this on a discussion about sponsored divisions Sponsored divisions may be sponsored by a celebrity, a corporation or a military command. They are not common. The sponsor treats the recruits in that division to a pizza party, provides a pep-talk or a celebrity visit to the recruit division. Sponsors may also get to watch their" division go through Battlestations. A sponsored division gets to carry a flag with the logo of their sponsor at PIR. I have seen discussions on this group that have included Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Seattle Mariners, and an aircraft carrier as division sponsors.
Sounds very impressive! I am so HAPPY and PROUD, I'm beaming with PRIDE!
Wow, about the Sponsored Divisions. Now you have got my wheels turning. I know a few retired Commanders who know Lilly and respect and have supported her through all of this. Hmm, there is one who came to her farewell that I am wondering is doing this. He now owns a company that contracts Navy security/lighting for Ships and the other is active in Navy Women, OMG I have all these things running in my head now. I would die, cause it would be just like one of them to do someting like that, especially the LCMDR I know. He's my son's father-in-law. And the other is Lil's boyfriends mom. Both 20+ something years in the Navy, retired and STILL working with the Navy.
Wow, I really, really hope we meet In April, you are a great one to talk to, AND you always seem to have good information.
gotta go for now, will talk soon.
