Hi Sherri - I just received my letter yesterday from my son.  He is also in Ship02 div 919.  Can't wait till the PIR.. I was used to him going on trips every once in a while but at least then I was able to call him on his cell phone.. this is an entirely different experience for me since I can't pick up the phone and call.
I so agree with you on that, it is weird not to be able to text her or call her. I'm setting up my trip to PIR now. Where are you from?
I am from Pittsburgh PA.. so it won't be that far for me.  Right now however we are getting ready for the Super Bowl.. I know my son was disappointed he was going to miss it but I am hoping he will be able to listen to it on a radio.  I sent him a few letters its actually a lot easier if I write a bit each day.   Are you close to the base or will you have travel a bit?
I too have a daughter in Ship 02 Div 919 - just got the letter yesterday.  All she said was "I'm fine.  Don't worry about me."  I'm anxious to get a real letter or phone call so I can get hear what her experiences have been like!
JulieP, my daughter just said it wasn't too horrible.
I'm coming from Arizona, so a bit of a trip, but love the Chicago area. Just hope the weather isn't too bad when we're there.
Well got some letters from my daughter and she said they won their scholastic flag. And that they are all finally starting to work as a division.
Hello everyone, my name is michele my daughter is in this Div. We have recieved one letter and one phone call. The phone call was like being 9 on Christmas. I really didnt think I would miss her so much. Seeing her leave was one of the hardest things I have had to do. Knowing that Grad. is only a few weeks away is wonderful. Is anyone staying at the Navy Lodge?
metoo0522-I'm staying at the Navy Lodge. I miss my husband a lot too. 25 more days to go! Hang in there :)
From what I have read about the Navy Lodge its nice and clean.
I plan on going. Is there a group started for ours? I see one for 3/18 and 4/08.
I plan on attending
