Hi St louis girls, I'm a bit late to the party, haven't checked in awhile. Saw your discussion on meeting up, would love to join you, have yet to "visit" w/other moms. I live in Maryland Hts.
Erik, my sailor is on his 1st cruise and they are currently "treading dangerous waters" so to speak. It has been somewhat worrisome. Thankfully we can email, but at any time they can (& have) gone on secure mode and suddenly all comm ends. Please keep him and his fellow shipmates in your prayers.

Thanks for good thoughts. BC, that was over 2 yrs ago for us, it was hard not knowing much. Are you going to Chi town for graduation? We did, have plenty of info, happy to share with you. Next couple of years not so hard, while they are still in school. Thankfully, I was able to travel to spend time with him.
My prayers are with you, it is so hard having them away from home.
Sherrie-- you do celebrate with every letter and phone call!
Let me know if you need anything.
HI I live in Marthasville about 60 miles west of St Louis but every place I shop is 45 min away. So I am in Ballwin Chesterfield or Crestwood areas all the time.
Good luck to you going through BC. This site is what really helped me. I have made such great friends here. My son is a few months away from getting his Trident .....if all goes well....so far so good. This is a ruff time for them right now. Prayers needed Please!
I am available most times to meet I do not work outside of the home.
Hi beachbug
Why don't you throw out a couple of dates and maybe some can meet. Whenever I get together, it's someplace like BreadCo, because we end up laughing, crying, laughing, sharing stories and laughing some more for over an hour.
The 3-26-11 would be a great day for me,
beachbug what ship is your son on?
Hi DCT MOM,
Erik is onboard the "Big E", USS Enterprise, he works on deck as part of flight crew (nail biting for mom!) We hear from him most days and he is having the time of his life, so very excited for him! Missing him terribly, and as always can't help but worry.
Do hope you can make the STL Day out on 3/19. Looking forward to meeting all.
