On the phone with my daughter....YAAAYY!  She sounds exceptionally good :)  We talked for 50 minutes it was awesome!  Makes me well up with tears I'm sooo happy :)

How awesome was that!  Completely unexpected, she caught me off guard and I almost didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number!  I personally wasn't expecting a call because after all I am only the big sister!  :)  But, she made time to call both our parents and then me!  Made my day!  She sounded way better than I expected and was so happy!  Said she was getting all our mail and to keep it coming...and I thought maybe we were overwhelming her!  LOL!  A school will be in GL after all!  Jajajo, Lil's mom, & sailrgrlsmom...she knows your daughters...cool, huh?

No way, really, she knows them, so cool.  After my conversation with my daughter, "Lil" I felt so much better.  Then she called her older sister, that was even better because she got to tell her Lilly was going to be an Aunt.  yesterday was awesome,  She made like 4 or 5 phone calls.  Sounds like the girls are doing pretty good.  Thought I was going to send her a short note today, ended up being 7 pages.  And oh, her A school is also in GL and she says she does have Liberty that weekend.  Hope we all get to meet before PIR, I am definately going to get to the Ramada when we get in, might be later than 6 but going to try like hell.

So glad the girls are together!

That is awesome!  Congrats on the special news, I'm sure she was excited about hearing that she was going to be an aunt!  I am so glad they are doing good, even though the letters say I'm doing great don't worry about me, it was better hearing it for ourselves!  What a great day!  Yes, she actually said that Lil was her first bunk mate!  :)  She said she has made lots of friends!
my daughter was at work when she got her call, says she saw the area code and ran out of the store to answer it because service is sketchy there!  Also - her fiance said he is friends with some of the girls but only knows them by last names!
Little update,  Got a call!!!  Sounded good, doing fine!  Now to see if he is doing A school there or in SA.  That depends on if I attend PIR or not.  Husband is going to go for sure.
My daughter got a call today as well.  She is so happy.  If they are going to be corpsman then A school is definately in Great Lakes.  Considered grad and go, but should have liberty for the weekend.
That's what my daughter said to but doesn't know about liberty yet. She said they might not get to leave base but we can visit her on base once she gets settled. Have to wait and see. Either way I'm still going for the whole weekend, can't wait!
they don't know for sure, but we had one graduate in February and he got the whole weekend, so we are hoping it's the same this time.
I am going to wait a little longer.  We have had orders to Guam and the day the movers arrived we were sent to Hawaii.  I have been married for 15 yrs and 6 months ago I got a call from Personnel asking if Tim and I were married and if we lived in the same state.  They had us down as Divorced for the past 5 yr; they said  He was still stationed in Hawaii when he had checked in and out of Personnel 3 times in the 4 yrs we have been back in WA.  Paperwork SNAFU You bet!  I made a joke to my husband about back child support he owes me haha  They even had his rank wrong.  SO from those experiences alone and very recent, I will wait to see where A school is before I buy that second ticket.
just read on the Facebook site that those staying in Great Lakes for A School will not be extended overnight liberty as they will be considered Phase I and treated as such.  However they will be allowed to leave base with family with permission.  My daughter is going to freak out!
Good morning everyone! Hope everyone had a good week and received their phone calls :). If the kids are in Phase 1 with no overnight liberty. What does that mean? I didn't think there was any overnight liberty for any of the grads they all would have to be back by a certain time each night. Well we're coming up on 4 weeks can't believe it! Has anyone made flight arrangements?
