I received my second call.  Found that anyone flying in, going into Midway is cheaper the OHare.  The drive is a little longer but it saved over 100.00 per ticket.  Using something like Triple A (AAA) also saves on rental car expenses

I found that as well. Southwest to Midway was definitely the cheapest way to go from CA, and they were the only airline that had a direct flight and no extra charge for bags!
From the first time I checked tickets to the time I booked ticket they went up about 150.00 per ticket.  And then flying back on Sunday instead of Saturday also made a huge difference as well
Oh wow a second phonecall already :)! my boyfriend is in the same division! i heard that they are one of the best!
I have gotten only 3 letters so far, I write every other day.  He says they are all doing great and he has had some close friends while there.  Could be your boyfriend, he gets to talking to fast trying to get everything in

My husband is in the same division. I only got 1 "regular" call so far, the best 30 minutes of my life! :D

debotur- I heard that the division earned a flag for academic achievement! :)

That is fantasic for the academic Achievement.  I did not hear that.  I will have to ask him when I write his next letter.  I guess he was so excited about talking to everyone trying to keep up with what has been happening at home and all of the 100 questions we ask him I did not hear about the achievement but that is great.  I will see what else I can find out.
I was really excited when my son called.  I wasn't at home, I was @ Target but I just stood there talking in the middle of the isle.  Everyone must have thought I was talking to someone in trouble asking "have you made any friends in there", "do you guys get to go outside", "how is the food", I am sure they thought who is this woman talking to

That would be wonderful if he has met my boyfriend! And wow he didn't tell me about the academic achievment! I'm so proud of him and everyone there, I've gotten 6 letters so far and one real phone call that was like 20 minutes long since he also called his parents and spoke to them for 20 minutes as well.

I heard that it is a long drive tho coming from Midway.  It's probably a good idea to get the hotel real close they are telling me.  We are coming from CA and my SR got held back a week when she came to this division.  The airlines AA charged us $150 each ticket to change it and also another $30 each for the ticket change($400 total).  But at least they will change it.  These E-tickets we buy are non-refundable.  ....  Now I just hope nothing else happens to change it again......ugh!

Hoping she will come through with flying colors this time!
