They are beautiful. I wish I was talented as you are !!
God has given us each talents... I just keep seeking what He has given. Wish I had learned some of this stuff when I was much younger!  The bottom stitching is Waves!!!!
Great Job - they are awesome!!! :-)
Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself to the group, I'm Erica and my husband, Justin, is in Ship 11, Division 116.  This seems like a great group of people!  My husband is going to corps school after graduation.  Anyone else with a SR going to corps school in this division?

Hi Erica - welcome to the group....my son will be going to A school in Florida - will you be attending graduation?

Looking forward to meeting everybody :-)

Yes I'm be going to graduation, but I don't think I'll be able to go to the Meet & Greet.  I have a lot of family in the Chicago-area and I'll be out with them the night before PIR.
hi Erica, Welcome.... my son is not going to corps school... he is GM going to be at GL for ASchool, or he is going to DC for ceremonial guard.
Bought more material for the scarves... I am wondering if you would rather me mail them to you instead of waiting for PIR? If I did could you reimburse me for the mailing?  I will look into how much it would cost. Some have requested more than one and if I have time to make enough (one per SR) and can make duplicates, I will attempt to do so.
I don't mind just getting the scarf from you at PIR.  It would save you the hassle of mailing them and if you have the scarf on, it will be so easy to pick you out!  Or what about getting them at the Meet and Greet?
Meet & Greet would be good.  I was also wondering if we might want to meet somewhere close to the Ramada BEFORE the Meet & Greet (4 or 5) and have a simple dinner. That way we will know each other and then search for any others we want to specifically meet up with.  My husband has been looking at places and if we do something simple we won't get charged for extras tips, etc. because we are a group.  I am thinking like an IHOP (they usually have a separate room, that we might be able to claim).  I will send out my cell phone number via private message to our group just before we leave home on the 30th, so I can be contacted.
Got two letters today!  He said he really loves getting SASE's saves him so much time.  With having the 0400 to 0600 watch he doesn't get enough sleep and is getting depressed, so then they gave him watch on Sunday so missed getting his holiday routine (no extra rest, no clean clothes, no time to write letters).  "Just did the firing range simulator (on 3/8), was aiming (pun intended) for Expert, probably will get sharpshooter... experts get a medal."  Hahaha. 3/10 letter states that he did not do as well with live fire test as he wanted, qualified with marksman probably.  The end of his letter "I miss having time to write letters about as much as I miss sleep now.  Miss you all too,"  Now my week will go better. ;o)
Making more scarves today... wish I had a phone call. Make sure and post if you get one. Thanks!
