Baby left for bootcamp from Los Angeles on 3/7/11

If my son can handle it, I should be able to do the same, right?

It's his first time out from home but he seems to be taking it much better than me.  I can't wait to start receiving letters.  He was never the gushy type and it would actually be fun to see even just a line or two.  I know it's a long ways from bc graduation but it's all I am looking forward to right now.

hi maddie, my son left from san diego on the 8th, he had to stay 2 days down at meps and just arrived at bc tonight, i got my call at around 915pm. he sounded tired and I could hear a lot of yelling, hope he will be okay. I have joined the PIR group for 05/06, i think that is when they will finish. nice to meet you
Our daughter left from LA this week as well. You sound like us...waiting for the first letter and the box to arrive. I'm guessing those weeks until graduation will fly by for them because they will be so busy. Take care!!
my son left on the 7th also, we received his phone call about 10:00 on Tuesday
Now I am waiting for the Box and soon a letter.

My son left on 3/7, as well, we live in Connecticut.  I received his box today and have his address.  He is Ship 04 Div 809, anyone else?

Does anyone know your sons PIR date?

I have to ask...was the ship and div number on the box???  Thanks.
The ship and division number was not on the box :(
i have not gotten my sons address yet and he left on the 7th also. How did you get your sons address?

Itoler    you should be able to get the addy from the recruiter

here is the link to what may be your PIR group   http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir562011

My son Left on 3/7 and we live in Michigan.  He is Ship 04 Division 809 as well.  His PIR date is May 6th!
how did you find out so quickly?? I know nothing and he left the same time.

Hi!

Don't worry, you're not alone. We live in NY and we have not received the box or anything either. I've emailed our recruiter who said he'd probably have our son's address shortly after his arrival at boot camp. Who knows what may have held things up in their processing although I'm  only guessing. If I get the box today I will let you know, can you do the same? I was surprised too how quick some families got the box, grad date etc.. Hang in there with me!!
