Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

when are you all going to be arriveing to IL??

hey ladys, im new to all of this so im sorry if this question has been asked before or talked about... but is there anyone that is going to be flying in to o'hare on the morning of the 24th?

Hi Proud Mom!

I know the Ramada does a Meet N Greet on the 24th. I think it's from 6-8pm in the bar area. They will have appetizers all provided by the hotel. As far as the parking, I've heard that taking the shuttle is really good because it gets you past all the long lines of cars somehow without doing the driving. And it drops you off at the front gate. We are getting a rental car, but don't know if we will use it that day.

That's so great you got such a good letter! I don't know how my Sr is really doing yet. She got set back a week to this pir and had to change div's. But hopefully it will help her to catch up. She was out sick for a bit from dehydration and then later they thought she was developing asthma and had her tested. Thankfully she didnt have it and is more determined than ever. I also can't wait for the 2 weeks to pass. I gotta start packing! I want to bring some clothes for her to change into while inside the hotel room if she wants and also I have to find our binoculars!! Can't forget those! Cyndi

No, sorry. We are actually flying in on the 23rd to O'Hare. Couldn't find much selection of flights on the 24th! Cyndi

i leave the 23 but dont arrive tell the 24th. at 520 in the morning was look for someone that will arrive around the same time maybe we could share a taxi??
