Hi rharringtons and welcome. My daugter is also on this ship. Have you heard from her? I hope you have. You just need to chat away. This sight has alot of information that has helped me alot. I hope it helps you too.
I think that our daughters are freinds. My daughter said that I had talked to someone onNavy 4 Moms and it was her freinds Mom. If it is your daughter she has been a great support for my daughter.
Hi all,
Who organizes the meet and greet for the divisions? Is it up to us?
Hi all,
Just wondering how you all are doing? I don't know much about the division. Have your SR's shared anything? Reading the other division comments I wonder how this one is getting along. My SR did say there were some "issues". I haven't gotten a letter this week but am hoping for one today. Looks like the weather is warming up in Chicago and seeing the sun might make them feel better. We had snow here last night.
Hi all,
We did get a letter yesterday and it was much more positive. The phone call really helped. He said the division is really pulling together. The time is starting to fly by for them and they can see the end is in sight. Anybody else?
Tatia, our SR is also going to A Sch in Pennsacola. She said there were lots going from her DIV or brother Divs and she is excite to know people on the plane and there too. She also mentioned in her letter this week about Japan. I have not said a lot about it either. I am glad to hear that you are all okay from the events in Japan and around. PIR is drawing near. Hope to meet you all and glad that everyone is getting news from their SR's.

I haven't been on here since I logged in for the first time - I was a bit ignorant on how to do things on here. Anyway, I have received a few letters from my daughter who is on Ship 09 Div 134. She sounds great in her letters and is joking around like she always has. Hearing her voice for the first time was just the most amazing thing!
Tatia - That would be funny if our daughters are on the same ship and in the same "group" as well. She hasn't mentioned any names to me yet. Not sure if they know each other by last name or first. My daughters boyfriend is in the Coast Guard and they all call each other by their last names. Its kind of funny. I don't even think she knows half of their first names.
I am looking so forward to 4/15 "GRADUATION DAY"! The only thing I don't know is if she will be able to spend the weekend with us. I guess there is a chance that she may be leaving right after graduation for Biloxi, Mississippi.
Anyway, I will do better with keeping in touch. I promise.

Glad to hear from more moms. I was beginning to wonder if everything was ok. I am going to send a large self addressed and stamped envelope to him today with more clippings. I read in another place on this site that they run out of room to keep their letters from home and this way they can send them back. Its so nice to get tips from moms that have been through this already.
We have no idea if he will be a Saturday departure. I kind of think so. We bought tickets that we can change without cost and can stick around a couple of more days if he's lucky enough to have a break. Airline tickets are pretty outrageous right now so I am glad we were able to book into the Navy Lodge. Its a long way from Colorado to Conn. Does anyone know if they get a break during school?
Hi Ladies, Glad to hear from you! My son goes to Pensacola after boot camp, and he seems to think he will be flying out Saturday morning. I read somewhere it costs more money to keep them hanging around boot camp than it does at A school. Not sure how true that is. I wish they would go on Sunday morning so we could have the weekend.
My son did say they got the education flag last week because they did so well on their testing. He also said they are coming together nicely as a group, so that's another plus! I can't wait to meet you all in less than a month!
