When you look at the page there is a discussion link to PIR dates for ship/div.

hey, got my phone call the same time Friday morning....guess they are going thru together?  Mine is training for the Seal program.  Let me know when you get your kid in a box or graduation date?
my loved one shipped out of houston today! Got a call around 1030pm letting me know he was ok.
My daughter left today and I am a wreck.  She is excited and I can't stop crying!  I sure hope this gets better!  She left from Buffalo, Ny
it will get easier :)
Any idea how long it takes to get an idea of PIR date?

Tricious...you should be able to get the address 72 hours after you rct left. You should get the box in about 10 days or so (delivered via FedEx) and the form letter soon after (USPS) the form letter will have all the grad info, PIR date, address, ship/div, password for parking pass and a few lines from your rct.

Your PIR date is most likely going to be either 5/20 or 5/27..epends on how long they are in processing.

Our daughter shipped out on the 22nd of March, we were at the swearing in ceremony in Seattle, but it was far too emotional for us to follow her to the airport, she wanted to say the goodbyes there, she said it would be easier on her, so we respected her wishes.  I still find myself tearing up as I think about her in boot-camp, I know it will get easier and this is something seh wanted to do, to follow in her dads footsteps and be in the Navy as he is.  Now we are just anxiously waiting until we can see her again.
My son shipped out that day, I rcvd my kid in the box today
Wow, that was quick to receive your box!  Anybody else get one?  I can't wait to send her a letter and get more info.  Just realizing her PIR may be Memorial day weekend.  Tough to plan that far ahead at this point.  Trying to be patient!  This is going to be a LONG 8 weeks!
Navyvet do you live near Great Lakes?  I kind of expect my kid in a box to arrive here in the Pacific Northwest between Monday or Wednesday of this week.  Or at least I hope to get it, along with a letter with her address.  My daughter is my best friend and wow, I never realized I would miss her this much....
My son left on a Tuesday 2-22-11 and we got his BOX that friday. The following Monday we got the form letter with his address. It takes two weeks to get the first letter from your SR. Hang in there. I see you guys beginning like I did missing them like crazy to you know they are doing okay and looking forward to PIR which is 4-22-11. We are halfway there. Good luck to you guys. Its alot of hurry up and wait with the military. We just have to adjust.
