Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Everyone -

 

I requested a list of Sailors who may not be receiving mail from home. And Nicki sent that list to me today.. If any of you would like the list to send an encouraging card along to a Sailor that would be AWESOME.. I cant wait to get something in the mail for all of them.. I am also going to get my church involvd with collecting care package items for them as well... Private message me if you would like the info and I will email it to you.. GOD BLESS OUR SAILORS!!!!

Thought I would let ya know so we can spread the packages around.  I would love to be able to afford one for all of them but they can get expensive quick.  The postage and the contents can easy run 30.00 or more....I sent one to my son that had over 150.00 of stuff in it and it has YET to get there..been gone 6 weeks and counting...but..maybe it will eventually get there.  I was excited to fix some GIRL boxes for a change...lol

Sonia: You are right it can get expensive quick... I have sent my son 4 boxes and he has received 2 of them.. I thought we could rotate names and maybe next time we can send them cards to encourage them.. : )
