I have not been doing much of anything these last few days but mope and check online.  I have read everything on this site since I found it, just about 5 days ago.  Why I haven't made the search earlier, I don't know.  It would have made his leaving for BC less traumatic.  But then again, I have been in denial until we exchanged our goodbye hugs on Monday...

I would love to hear from others whose loved ones share the same ship/div.  Mine will go to Nuke school later on and I'm so hungry for more news and info.

Me too!!!!!!!   My son has a cough too ~ but he sounds so good and so happy!!!  I'm on top of the world right now!!!  I know you are too!!!!  :)  Their division is doing GREAT!!!!!!!!  I bet I said "I LOVE YOU" a  hundred times while on my call :)  I am going to have a GREAT rest of the week!!!!!  :)

I love you?  Yes, he did!!!!

Been doing the happy dance since!!!  Woooohoooo!

Maddie ~ mine too!!!!  I could not believe it when the words came out of his mouth!  I was like ~ is this really my son!!!!  :)  I am still so excited ~ I may not sleep at all tonight!!!  :)
Hooyah!! That call from my son was the best thing in the world!! I cried and cried afterwards I was so happy!! My poor husband and daughter were on the other extension and they could hardly get a word in edge wise. My son said he has been sick since he got there. Its his sinuses. He had two wisdom teeth pulled and a root canal yesterday but he said the dentists up there are a thousand times better than ours. lol He said he can hardly feel a thing. Praise God!!

WHAT???? My Will better not have anything done.....I have worked in his mouth since he was born!!

That is what I do for a living. I have taken great pride in that hole in his face!!! Sure hope they don't find anything on my SR!!

Girl, you are too funny!! It really did not seem to bother Will. He had a filling to come out right before he left for bc but he did not want to get it fixed since he was about to leave. I guess he is glad he waited. lol
well sure, especially since the Navy is paying!! Was that the tooth that needed a root canal? Guess they are getting them prepared for the ship. Probably hard to get to a dentist out in the middle of the ocean if you have a toothache.
I got my phone call today my son sounded very good. He said everything was good and to keep sending letter and some pictures. I am so happy.:)
Our son Tyler called for the first time yesterday. We live in Illinois but are visiting my dad in Woodland Hills, Ca this week. We had just come out of The Ronald Reagan Presidental Library and Musuem when we got our first phone call. Talk about ironic! It was so good to hear his voice, he sounds so grown up. In his 2 letters to me he told me that the food was excellent and that he can get letters anytime, so keep writing. He too said I love you numerous times. He's only had to do 30 pushups for whatever he did wrong but said that he is smart enough now to keep his mouth shut! He has not given us any information about going to nuke school in sc but from what I have read, they ship out pretty quick, boo hoo. If Tammy H or Stephanie A are on the forum Tyler has become friends with your sons and I am to say hi to you! We miss him so much but are verry proud of him and all of these young men who are making this commitment to our country. God Bless America
