I have not received one either. Hoping to, though. Praying for them all.
I received a call from my son yesterday afternoon, he says division doing great and teamwork getting better everyday!   They were doing so well that they got phone privileges (keep phones handy, calls could come anytime!).   Also, he mentioned they were on week 4 day 2 hold and would start back up on Monday (Monday being day 2 of week 4).  Sounded so much more confident and happy, it did my heart good (he sounded so depressed in his letters).    Praying for another great week and more calls this Saturday!
J's girlfriend popped over to see me tonight, and apparently my son had called her yesterday too- so he did get the phone call home- I might have been out riding my horse...so lesson learned to keep my phone with me always right now!!! Or--he just called his girl friend..:(?)  at any rate, I was so happy to hear from the girlfriend that he sounded happy, more confident too- and they had a sit down with their RDC and talked about what was going on with their teamwork- apparently they worked some things out amongst them.. That had to have helped!  I can only imagine!  I am so encouraged as well! Go Team GO!!!!!

Hi Everybody,  I ran across information about purchasing division t-shirts.   Here is where to find the order form  http://www.mwrgl.com/gen_info/rtc_graduation/div_tshirt_order_6_201...   Sorry I did not find earlier!  Just ordered mine, if ordered by this Friday would get them in time to wear for graduation.

Thanks for sharing this- I take it they know what the division flag is by their Division Number!
Yes, each division created their own flag.

Got letter from my son today....he sounded worried about his division and graduation.
Is it even possible a division would not graduate?

justinmom, we got a letter yesterday and I am worried too.  R said that since the RDC's were finally sending guys  home, things were getting better.  I never thought about them possibly not graduating. He did not sound happy in the letter or on the ph Sat.  And, he is sounded so sick.  If any other group 149 mom can share anything  I would appreciate it so much.
Yes, my son is not one to overly dramatize things but he said " I hope my division can step it up so we can graduate."  He is a man of few words so of course I read more into what he is not saying.  He is an older SR (25 yrs old) and said he and bunkmate are only 25 yrs olds and rest of division is very young.  He is the medical yeoman for his division and says he spends a lot of time sending SRs to get treated for injuries and getting Wisdom teeth pulled out.
I can see where your son's comment raised concern.  R is 20 and is Athletic Petty  Officer.  Wonder if our guys know each other.

I have a bit better outlook from my son's letter today.  In it he said that the division is starting to pull together as a division...they still have problems with some talking too much, but everything is working out.  He told his girlfriend that the RDC sat all of them down and made them talk and get everything out.  Apparently there was a lot of anger. Things much better now.

Keep in mind, and I will share what my son's friend, who is in the Navy told me...That the RDC's know exactly what to do to their recruits to get the desired responses out of them. They have been doing this for a long time, ever since George Washington started the Continental Army. It is all based on group dynamics. If they are a bunch of really intelligent people, they have to toughen them up physically. If the are all physically strong, they need to figure out how to get them to open their minds and learn. When you have a mix of people, it is always so hard to figure out who is what type and how do we get them to work together. So- Teamwork above all- They will tell them they are the worst group they have ever seen to try to knock them down a peg or two...regroup..then form back up as a team and become stronger. They use everything in their power to ensure they all come down to their lowest level and then build them back up- Threatening with physical exercise- being rolled back- not graduating, etc...So sounds to me like their group has alot of friends in it...and they are tearing them down and re building their minds in a military way.  The fact my son said things are better -and that the division is finally starting to pull together (his exact words) makes me feel better. Just had to share this- sorry so long.

Thank you NavyMom for all of that.  I needed to hear it.  R did say that as the number of RS's became smaller  things got easier for everyone.  As I read your comment, I thought of the RDC and how hard his job must be.  Gotta pray for them too!  21 days to go.
