I got the letter today my daughter is in this group.  Not sure if there was a forum already started...I could not find one. Is there any other moms or wives out there for this group?

I'm here now :)  So I guess your daughter and my husband volunteered for something.  Did you see that, that 900 divisions are like a special division for choir, band, guard, and they perform at graduation?? thanks for starting a group!
Welcome :-)  I did see that about the 900 divisions.  I guess we will have to wait for a letter or call to see what they got themselves into...lol  I'm not sure if I started a group the right way.  Hopefully others will follow!  If not, we will have each other!! :-)

Sounds good!  Not sure either, but I'll keep my eyes open if anyone else starts anything!  I'm really excited about the special graduation!  Are you going to have a problem getting everyone in you want?  I've got two kids, who for a normal graduation wouldn't count towards the four, but now they count, which bumps one of my husbands parents out :(

I know what you mean...I have a son who wouldn't count normally but now one of my parents won't be able to come.  My daughter put me, her sister and brother and my mom on the list.  My other daughter is almost 24 and her fiance won't be able to come with us so seeing that it is 4th of July weekend...not sure if she will go.  And my parents live in Michigan so if my dad can't go then I'm not sure if my mom will drive by herself to come.  I will get this figured out and if I have an extra ticket I will get your information and have my daughter put them on her list.  Someone suggested that to me.  I guess as time goes on we will figure it all out.  It has been a week since I have seen my daughter and I still miss her.  I joked before she left that I would miss her coming in at wee hours of the night and then having to pick up after her...I wasn't joking...I miss it!!  LOL

Well, you're a better woman than I because I was just thinking about how much easier it is to keep up with the laundry now! haha, I will be happy to do it all again though once we're back together!  The fact that it's going to be an extra special graduation makes it even harder to leave people out!  My parents would come if they could and my husbands brother wanted too.  We're just hoping for our little family and his parents.  I talked to them tonight though, and they of course want to come, but are being understanding about it too, which is great.  I don't think my husband realized when he did the list that the kids had to be on it, because he just had me and his parents on it with one open slot.  Sounds like your daughter knew to put her brother on it who wouldn't normally count.  I've got a letter going out to him tomorrow, so we'll at least get the kids on the list for now.

Good Morning!  Well...not really for me though...I am for some reason so emotional this week!!  I sent a letter out to my daughter today.  I leave for a much needed and (this may sound self centered) much deserved vacation to Vegas tomorrow morning for 3 nights!!  My boyfriend is in agreement (actually it was his idea) and thinks I need to get away so he booked the trip. I think he is doing it more for him to survive this than me...lmao  I will be talking to my family this upcoming week about the situation with the graduation and definitely let you know if I have any extras.  I would be more than happy to have her put your family on her list.  Well I better get to work...I hope you have a great day and hope to talk again before I leave tomorrow. Have you watched any of the videos that have been posted?  I watched the welcoming and boot camp expectations one in her recruiters office right before she left but not any other.  I am so glad some of the other ladies on the Boot Camp Group can give great insights...I feel sooooo lost still!!!

Well I hope you have a great time in Vegas!  It is good to schedule things, I think it will help the time go by faster.  I don't have a work schedule to stay tied to, so I've got at least one big thing each week for me and the kids to do.  I kinda feel bad about my interest level in all this before my husband left.  He was doing so much research on everything, now I'm going back and looking up all the things he's been looking up!  I've got to educate myself as much as possible on the navy life because he's being incredibly educated right now, and don't want to get left in the dust.  Before ya know it we'll have orders to move somewhere!!  I have watched some videos.  I let my 5 year old watch a couple.  She keeps telling people that daddy is in chicago with the cubs (he's a big cubs fan)!!  Well have a good trip!  ttyl
My daughter is in this group also! Where did you see the info about the 900 divisions? I haven't seen it yet.

I just saw some other people talking about it, and then I googled it.  Yeah, that sounds reliable huh? haha, I guess I won't know for sure till I talk to my hubby.  I'm glad you found us!  Welcome!

Welcome hco1972! The information for the 900 division was on a page in the Group...Boot Camp Mom's.  Who knows what page...it is hard to keep up with all the messages.

Esther22...my interest level wasn't the greatest either before my daughter left.  2 days before she left her & I went to see her recruiter so that we could discuss a few more things.  However, I was already in an emotional state that I couldn't ask questions without the fear of breaking down in tears.  I have told myself that once I get back next week from my trip it is time to get it in gear and get a grip on things.  My house has never been so messy and I just can't seem to get motivated.  Hoping this minivacation will kick me in the ass...lol!!

Well both you ladies have a great weekend and I am sure I will not be on here til at least Tuesday night when I get back from Vegas.  Take care!!
