Since we will all be sitting in the same section of the bleachers at PIR, maybe it would be nice to have us all post something here in this section.  We could keep up with what the Division is doing by the letters others are receiving from this Division as well.

lol I keep wanting to click "like" on some of these posts...
Patti, thanks for saying that!! ha ha.  I have caught myself doing the same thing!  I want to click "like" on so many comments.

Since my daughter celebrated her birthday on Easter Sunday and didn't get to have her traditional birthday cake, I am planning on making it for her and taking it to Chicago with us.  I think I can take the layers and the icing seperately and then put it together when we get to the hotel.  I actually fixed one on her birthday and then we took a picture of it with her brother and sister holding a Happy Birthday sign.   I haven't heard from her since she got the photo, I'm sure she got a kick out of it.

I keep checking my phone I don't know why it's been glued to my right hand all morning. I have been up since 4 this morning wonder what they were doing?? My co workers ask every once in a while if I have gotten that phone call yet
I don't know about you guys but I'm exhausted!!

@1ProudMomma...do like we do (ppl that make cakes) for weddings, and bring it all with you and throw it together in your room. You can bring it frozen (the cake), already filled inside, but not outside. It will be sturdier and fresher this way. Let it sit out for a bit to defrost, and then frost it up.

JUST did this for a friend's wedding, except I had  iced it at home first and stacked/decorated it at the reception place. Freshly baked cakes that are frozen right after cooling (wrap well in plastic wrap) are very very moist, so that's why I suggested bringing it frozen for stability. Plus, who wants a cake mess all over the car!

Was just talking to another mom who has already gone through what we are going through, but she didn't get her phone call until 5:30 Eastern time, I think I will be exhausted out by then if we have to wait that long, not sure my old nerves can take it...

Reminds me in the movies where the prisoner is in his cell waiting to be executed, but he keeps an eye on the clock, just waiting for the Governor to call to pardon him....

We are the prisoners to the phone waiting for "the" call....

Patti, great idea!  It would definitely travel better frozen and it would be more moist.  I want it to taste good for her.  She's been through so much....I think it is the "mom" in me that wants to pamper her a little. :-)
