Hi ladies! I guess our other discussion group (Ester22 & hco1972) got lost somewhere...lol. It is so easy to do if you are gone for a couple of days. I'm back from Vegas and need to get caught up!! Anyways...my daughter is a Nuke on this ship as well. I haven't received a letter other than her form letter :( Although...she did get to call me on Monday! She was needing some information for her clearance and she got to call to ask....YAY!! We only got to talk for a couple minutes but I got to sneak in a...how are you...do you like...lol She said she is enjoying it...so glad to hear that!! Just glad to hear her voice!!
Jessica B...I will bring my form letter to work with me tomorrow and scan it for you. I will request you as a friend and then I can email it to you.
Well it's bed time for me...good night to all...hope you will all be back tomorrow!
Jessica B...attached is the form letter I received from my daughter. I hope it helps you!!
Have a great day everyone!!
Jessica B...You are so welcome! Can you write to him and ask for the password? I am not sure how many gate passes you are allowed but I am sure I will only need at the most...2. If we can find out how they work...do they register each person to the pass or just allow so many passes each recruit? If I can give you one...I would be more than happy to...my momma taught me how to share...lol
I will ask him in my letter tomorrow... erm... later today I suppose. I'm up a bit late. Had a little bit of a falling out with his mom and sister via the phone. I think everyone is just on edge because they want to hear from him, but basically telling his girlfriend that she ruins everything and he doesn't really love her wasn't very nice... I know that they are wrong, but still that isn't what anyone wants to hear right now. I need a letter from him more than ever :\ I wish his family would just understand that I love him very much and he loves me, and we're happy and want to get married someday after I finish college. It just seems like I'm always doing something wrong even when all I ask is if they happened to get mail or how their day went.
You all are moms:
how does a girlfriend (of almost two years now might I add) go about fitting in and not making the family feel "replaced"? Because apparently now that he is gone all the truth is coming out about their feelings toward me, and my mom can't give me advice because she's biased to my side lol. What should I do to keep the peace? I just want everyone to be happy
Thanks. It's just difficult because before he left she was at least okay with me.. I mean I was by no means her favorite person in the world but we at least got along. I think that you are right and everything will get a lot better when I hear from him. He did say that things like this could happen, and that I can always write him when I need to talk about it, but I don't think I'm going to really bring him into it, he said to tell him, so ill just mention that tensions are high but not to worry because I have it under control. They don't have a very good relationship either (his parents are divorced and he is not close to either) so it makes everything a bit tricky.
Thanks though, its nice being reassured I'm not just going crazy.
