Hi Everyone, Just got letters from my two sons. They talked about getting their pictures taken and the gun firing. My younger son got a marksmanship award and my oldest got and excellent marksmanship. He got a ribbon and a medal!!! Very proud of them, guess all those hours of playing Call of Duty paid off...LOL! He said they will be doing their fire training this Friday the 20th. Battlestations test will be next Friday, so get out your blue candles to burn! I think they will do great. They failed their drill inspection so the division does not get that flag, but they do have their scholastic flag and athletic flag. They will have another chance to get the division flag. I'm assuming these are flags they will march into PIR with!!! Can't wait!

Hi Cher I finally got 2 letters from my daughter today. She also got 2 ribbons and one medal .. yay for our kids..

seems like they are finally getting it together as far as teamwork goes ... 2 wks to go .. Can`t wait !!

Hi everyone, not sure if this is where im suppossed to post. My daughter is in this division...i get letters almost everyday. Was so excited today, she wrote me and told me to go to a specific facebook site, and there was a pic of her with her division on there!!! Graduation....less than two weeks!!
Thanks kelly I seen the pic .. My daughter is also in this Div.

After going 8 days without any letters, I finally got one 2 days ago! =)  He's doing very well also! He got his marksmanship ribbon... I'm glad he passed... It was the first time he had ever used a firearm.  I also received some INCREDIBLE news! My hubby is the Honor Grad for DIV 189! He went up against 20 other guys he said, and had to go up in front of the Honor Board.  I am so proud of him!! I guess you have to be nominated by your peers as well as RDCs in order to even go in front of the board.  So it makes me feel good that the other guys look up to him as well!  He is also EPO of his division (Education Petty Officer).  He passed his second PFA which is great because he didn't pass the first one.  He also said that Battle Stations is on the 26th and after that they don't do anything.  His RDC told them it will be cake for the last week where they get to go to the NEX and just do random fun stuff.  They are treated completely differently from when they first arrived! He can't wait until that happens! haha!

I'm glad I finally got to hear from him! I got my plane ticket, hotel, and car. I don't know if I can last these last 13 day! I may just go crazy first! Tomorrow is my last day at work! I will spend the last week and a half packing and getting everything at home taken care of.  He was told that he would be home on June 8th to get me and our stuff to move out to South Carolina!

Can't wait to meet all you wonderful ladies at PIR! Have a good night and talk to you soon!

Thats wonderful !! Congrats to your hubby and you !! see you soon !!

Thank you! I am so proud! And yes! See you June 2/3!!!

Congratulations, Brettany, to your husband for becoming "Honor Grad"!  You should be very proud of him!  Also good to hear he passed his PFA and that he is EPO.  Thanks for posting about Battlestations...since there seems to be a little confusion as to when DIV 189 was doing it!  I'll be praying for all the SRs, extra hard, on the 26th...and can't wait to receive the, "I am a Sailor" phone call!  Will you be at the "MEET & GREET" on the night before graduation (at the Ramada)?  Would love to meet all DIV 189 family, and friends, if possible.  Good luck packing-up and getting things taken care of at home.  Rather than saying, "Only 13 days left"...I like the sound of "1 weeks and 6 days"!  I am so very excited about seeing my son, on graduation day, and being able to spend some time with him!  Don't know what we're going to do, when we take him off-base, but whatever he wants is fine with us!  See you SOON!
I'm going to try and make it to the Meet and Greet! i think it will be fun! His parents will be flying in as well! I love being able to say "I will see him NEXT week!!" =) Makes me so happy!  I don't know what we are going to do either.  If I go to the meet and greet I will bring a book that one of my patients brought me... its FULL of coupons (bogo, 1/2 off, gift certs, etc.) I have no problem sharing!! Spent $20 on the book and only plan on being there until Sunday and will never use the book again! lol So I will "share the wealth!" haha  See you NEXT week!

If you go onto the RTC website their are random pictures today and they are division 189.  I saw my son in most of them.  We were a little disappointed on last tuesday because all we got in the picture was an elbow(we think).  These are really good pictures.

oops sorry I was signed in under my daughter in law
Hi Mamasea, What were the pictures of?? I couldn't find any other than the trivia pic from last week
