While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son is in ship 04 div 2341....he was due to graduation June 3 with division 929. I am waiting for information on his ankle. How long are they stuck in this division before they are med discharged?

Camronsmom... It all depends on his ankle. He will want to get out of there FAST! This place is for minor injuries! My daughter was there 2 weeks and set back 1 when she went back to a reg unit. The information you will get is slow and he will hate it there. It was so VERY hard for me. My daughter called me broken! They motivate you to want to get better and get on with it. If he calls can tells you it will be 6-8 weeks there don’t panic. They really play head games with them in there! They do much of nothing PT early in the morning then read the NAVY handbook or clean. Only allowed to write letters on Sunday. I started this group because information was so limited. If he sign a relicec you can call and get information. However, I would not do it unless you are very worried. He might catch heck for that too. The first call you get someone is standing over him and will not let him give any real information or they will hang up on him. It takes a week to get good information I would guess. Know he is getting the best care he can! He will get well and then go back where he left off in BC and PIR with another DIV. When did he get hurt?

He has been in there for two weeks...I heard from him today...he wants to quit...that is not the kid I know....I am soooo worried about him. He has always excelled in everthing....graduated top 5% of his class and got a full ride to Baylor University. But he wanted to be a nuclear engineer in the Navy. We are so proud of him. I just hope that ship 4 will not get the best of him. Praying Hard that God will speed up his healing before he goes nuts. Thanks for your support. It's really getting to him right now since his division is graduating Friday!

Get everyone you can to flood him with mail! Tell him that he needs to hang in there! My SR wanted to quit too! If you send me his info I will write him as well. I know any of the Mom's with 6-3 PIR dates would write him! He will be back in it soon. Like I said this is for minor injuries! I can imagine it is! I really feel for you both. There are other Mom's with 6-3 pir that have SR getting hurt just this week! God will not give him any ore than he can handel. This will all make him so much stronger! What an amazing son you have!

My son has been in there for one week now with a stress fracture. He had a full ride to Texas A&M and chose to go into the Navy for Nuclear engineering, also. I was hard for him getting put in there, but he sounded better yesterday. They do play mind games with them. Tell him to stay strong and heal quickly. I will be praying for him.

My Grandson is also on ship 04 div 2341 and has been sense the first week of July. Apparently he has a pinched nerve either in his arm or neck. I'm not sure where. He was supposed tograduate August 19 but that isnt going to happen now. He has been very depressed. We keep writing and waiting for his phone calls which we have had 3 now. I really dont know what they are going to do but he doesnt want to leave with a medical discharge. I'm terribly concerned.

I know this is an old post, but I'm looking for some advice. My daughter has been in holding for a couple weeks now. She thinks she's facing being released. She's 19. Stress fractures in her foot, both shins, knee and hip. How does this happen??
What's disappointing is that she was RPOC of her division and her PIR would have been this Friday the 27. She would have marched in front of the division with a sword. I was beside myself with excitiment and PRIDE when she told me she had made RPOC. Now I'm just trying to help her keep her head up (and my own). I was on a facebook group with the oher praents from her division and saw them all talking about how they got thier "I'm a sailor" calls. It's just disappointing. I've talked to her twice. I told her no matter what happens we love and support her. Hang in there. Life throws you challenges.. etc. Trying to keep her strong and determined but she just has no idea when she'll heal from her injuries and what happens next if they keep her in. Prayers please. Hope everyone is well.
