Great Lorie - Glad you got a letter today also. I think I agree about keeping it short to the mom's. My son told my mom & dad about the folding, ironing, cleaning and stuff, but not me. Kind of generic, but we will all take what we can get at least we know that they were thinking about us. Have a great evening!!!
I got my letter today too!! My mom checked the mail and told me to guess what came...I was so excited.  After hearing all of you getting your letters I figured mines would be on the way.  He wrote me a nice letter, said it took him a week to write it because he was writing little by little each night, which I guess is against the rules.  He said that Div 225 is a "push div" the RDC's hand selected them due to rates and smarts...that sounds like a good thing.  He even wrote happy birthday on top because he left 1 week before my birthday...I'll admit I cried when I read the letter, but they were happy tears.  Now hopefully we'll be getting our phone calls soon.
I didn't receive a letter yesterday and I am bummed.  I don't think I will receive one today either since our mailman usually comes by 11 AM.  It makes me feel a little better reading your posts about your sailor's, thanks.  I'm praying for a phone call this weekend.
I hope your letter gets there today.  The holiday on Monday didn't help.
Midwest ...mailman came and left today, no letter.  I was so disappointed.
So sorry to hear that Haywhe.  You need a new mailman.  Hopefully Monday you'll have a nice long letter.  That is a long time since it was mailed on Tuesday.  They only get to write on Sundays (except for the holiday last Monday).  My SR said a few in their brother div (226) got into trouble because they were caught writing letters.
wow, sorry to hear that one, and your right I do need a new mailman.  The anticipation is so great and then when you don't get a letter it brings you right down.  I'm really hoping for tomorrow.
Hi Calinavygal...What is a Push Division did your SR explain?
Well the mailman came and left today, no mail from my SR.  Maybe he doesnt have enevelopes? Can he buy them there?
I didn't have any mail either.  My son did send a short letter to his dad, so I figure I might get one this week.  (My son is funny, definitely makes sure he remembers us both.  His dad got the box, I got the form letter, now dad got the first letter, lol)  Anyhoo, I guess the letter he sent to his dad was on RTC Stationary and I know I didn't send him down with any envelopes.
Thank you ladies for the information.  Maybe I'll get something this week.
Haywhe:  They must buy all of their stationary and envelopes on base.  Did you get a letter from your SR today? I sure hope you get one soon.  I told my mailman today that I about hunted him down last week waiting for a letter.  He said he would keep an eye out for me and make sure he puts them to the front of the mail (easy to find). They are smaller envelopes, so keep an eye out and have a nice evening!
