Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

That sounds like my Sr you are talking about
she was in siq she had strep and a mild fever and when she wrote me she said that she hope that on monday when she went for her follow op app that they will give fit for full duty because she had firefighting and her pt test on wed then i got another saying she is fit for full but had to finish them antibiotics up she also said that they got the scholastic flag and drill flag and mca phase flag and our division flag. so i hope she passed and is gonna be doing bs tonight because i leave on wed to come to chicago.
I hope so Nancy. I'll keep her and all of our SR's in my thoughts. I have my blue candle ready but they will do terrific. I just know it. I am glad she is feeling better. Mine refused ship sick call but my last letter said she was finally feeling a little better. Just in time for BS

well my had to go she could hardly swallow and she said it had white cluster in the back of her mouth she dont like doctors so i  am gonna light y candle and wait for my call.

 

 

Good for her and you! She and all of the other recruits will be in my thoughts. Less than 6 1/2 hours until their final test begins. I'm so anxious I could just bust!

Nancy...is your SR in fit?  I just saw your post on main.
I didn't sleep well!  Honestly I hope my life can settle down after this week.  I never realized what life would be like during these past 8 weeks when my son told me he was joining the Navy!!  I can't wait for that phone call today!
I barely slept too. I'm with you djaltic. Couple more hours and the calls will begin I'm so excited and anxious!
I have been looking forward to this week for so long!! I can't believe it is finally here!  I need to look up some places to get a Chicago dog and/or a deep dish pizza.  These are on his to-do list!!  Can't wait for the m&g either!
The suspense is killing me. Division 197 Call Please!!!!
