Nothing could keep me away from PIR. I can't wait for the info to make reservations.  I think my mailman will hate me by that time. lol
Wouldn't dream of missing PIR! I told my boss I would need time off in August for it, didn't know when, but he could count on be taking time off! I grew up in Chicago and I'm hoping to see some old friends while we're up there. But mostly I look forward to meeting my new Navy man!

Hi everyone ..................my daughter just left today. I'm so emotional,. She was picked up yesterday and this morning we went to the Oath of Enlistment ceremony it was beautiful and very emotional as well. I know she is going to do just fine, I remenber two months ago when I was so nervous I feel a lot more confortable now and I know she made the right choice.. SO PROUD!!!

Congrats!!! :)
Hugs to you today!
Well my son left but not without his classic moves at the restaurant he left his retainers and we had to go back. Then after we dropped him off at the recuriters, he text us that he needed a SSN card. He might be off to his new career but the lil boy i know is still in there. I will miss him so much but I know he will do well. I am doing pretty good right now then again it has only been like 40 min.lol
LOL!  You don't know how 'normal' that makes many of us feel!  :)

Thanksssssssss :)

does anyone have a loved one leaving out of richmond, va?

Hi veryone , my daugher just left today, I have not receive a call yet since she just go to Chicago about an hour ago, can someone pls explain what comes next ,I mean as far as me getting an adress where I can write to her and so on and so forth .. Thanks all
Sometime tonight or early tomorrow morning you should get the 'I'm here' call.  It is going to be very short.  She'll tell you that you'll receive the form letter in about 10 days (that will have her address and PIR date), that she'll be able to call you in about 3 weeks (I'm still waiting for that one...), and that she loves you.  She'll probably sound nervous.  If you've watched the BC video, you'll see that it has been very loud, they're getting tired and they're not in Kansas any more.  :)  It's OK...they'll be so proud in about 8 weeks!!!  I actually received my form letter in 6 days, but 10 is more common.  If you'd like her address sooner, you should be able to get it from her recruiter by Friday.  They aren't always correct...but most of the time they are.  Keep your phone handy.  The call may come very late.
Very helpful, thank you so very much , I guess I just have to try to go to sleep with my phone right next to me it's going to be so hard.
Hello everyone my son leaves ships out 1 week from today , just wanted to say hi also THANK YOU MIDWESTMOM FOR THE CALENDAR !!!!!
