I am glad that you both will get to spend quality time with your girls!!!  I also am so excited for the 17th but my son is gonna explode if he cant get his hands on her soon! lol he loves his sister so much.

GOD BLESS OUR SR's AND GOD BLESS US MOMS!!!

God Bless to all!

is it okay to give there name?

Wow there are several places top go for this group! Just found this one and am so glad! Has anyone received a 2nd phone call other letters? We received the midway call and one packet of several letters and that's it so far. Our son is in this ship/div and we are planning to come to Chicago on June 16th. I sent a "might" come for the Meet and Greet and hope to get there in time. We are staying with family in the Chicago area and hope to be able to see you.

Hi, Ari'smom, I saw  your post about the recruit pics and am having trouble finding the link to the pics in the RTC facebook site. Have you had any luck? Thanks!

Yikes miraculour thinks happen when you try again! I found it by trying a different searcy route!  :0

Hi.  I did find the pictures on the RTC facebook site but didn't see my daughter's picture.

But it is interesting that you can see what they do there and somewhat what it's like for them.

God Bless Them!   Nice to have so many people on this site and support.  I don't know what I would do

if I didn't have this site for support. Got a letter Friday and cried when I read it. Only received one phone

call.   I did read we might not get another one until they become a sailor.  Does anyone know of anything

different?

Thanks

Thanks for the response, I was glad to find the pics and also see what they are doing. I could not see my son either but know he's in there somewhere. Have you done any posting on FB there are several Ship 3 Div 209 friends out there as well. I really enjoy this connection. It is really hard to go with the flow and not hear from them isn't it??! I hope we can find each other easily at PIR. Di you RSVP to the Meet and Greet for our group? This link is to the right on this page u ndr the the events menu.

I have posted a few comments on the facebook page on RTC.  I did RSVP to the meet

and greet.  I put maybe.  I am hoping to make it (we need something to keep us busy

before the morning before).  I know I will be a nervous wreck since we can't see our SR until the graduation.  It has been so hard not being able to talk to her.  only in letters.  She won't tell me anything that she has trouble with (only puts down that sometimes it's rough ) because she knows how upset it will make me and what a basket case I was when she left.  I wrote to her about those pictures on facebook and she just wrote back saying there are so many troops here, she knows she's not in any of them.

I am trying to be strong and proud like these other moms on here, but sometimes I miss her so much it's hard to be .

God Bless

Can the days move any slower!!!! It seems like he closer we get to PIR the slower they are going. UGGGGG hurry up 6-17!!!

We are a maybe on the Meet & Greet also. We are traveling that day and hope to make it to Chicago area early afternoon. We have family who live there and will be staying with them for the weekend. I certainly agree that it is hard to have our son be away and not be able to see him. Jessicasmom said it best ..... UGGGGG hurry up 6/17!!! It is nice to have this group to talk to; I think it makes us FEEL stronger even when we are not. I also think it is OK to miss our SRs. My son has never been away from home alone before but I think it's easier on him than it is on use because he is making so many friends who will be going to the same place for A School!
Where did you find pictures on the RTC site?  I've been trying to locate them. I entered Navy Recruit Training Great Lakes.  I couldn't find any pictures on there.  What are typing in exactly so I find this. My daughter is also in Ship 03 Division 209.  She has been sick for three weeks but still in the game. I'm sure she would be enjoying much more without the sickness. She went to the meds once when she had fever and chills. They gave her Tylenol and Mucinex, no antibiotics.  Last I heard from her the day before hell week she had fluid in her ear, possible infection, no voice and was terrified she wasn't going to make it. Went back to med but they were closed for the day.  I had no phone calls last week which is good and it tells me she passed through it all! This is a girl who didn't miss a day of school the last four years. All I can do is keep praying daily.  She doesn't want to stay any longer than she has to and can't wait to get to A school in Pensacola and start.
