When my son graduated in February, they have each state's flag acknowledged. Texas' by far had the most people hollerin' for it!! Just wondering how many on this site are also from Texas.

I'm from San Antonio. My son just left for BC on July 31. His Div is 359. We've lived in San Antonio all my life. Love it here. Close enough to get to the beach or into the hill country within a couple of hours depending on my mood. BTW, I love this site. It's been very helpful.
HI! I am from San Antonio also, my son just left for Recruit Training 7 Aug 08! We have not even gotten a letter yet although I know he is doing OK. I actually have 3 in the Navy now, one is a Chief on a submarine, the second is an Electronic Technician on a destroyer currently on deployment and the youngest just left last week. Do you have any more children?
Hi. I'm in Grand Prairie and my son Michael leaves for bc in October. After that he heads to San Diego for SWCC training. Glad to be here.
Hi, Brenda Sue!! Now, that sounds like a Texas name!! I'm Natalie Kay and I live in ARLINGTON, TEXAS!! (grew up in Fort Worth, TX)

My Navy son, Christopher (Chris) is going to Iraq in November. He's in Maine right now. Went to Japan not too long ago (his first "out of country" mission -- had to take over a NEW plane)

Send me your email address. Mine is ftwerthgal@aol.com
Hope to hear from you!!!

I've lived in Wylie, TX for six years, now, but my son, Adam, still lived in Oregon with his dad and stepfamily. I'm not sure if I will ever truly be 'Texan' but here I be.

Adam leaves for bootcamp on Aug 21. Even though I only get to spend a couple of vacations a year with him, we've always been pretty close. I miss him already! Anybody else got someone headed for Great Lakes this week?
Hi Sue, My son Drew left out yesterday (8/19) and I got a call from him this morning at 12:15am. It was a short call saying he made it and was about to go through processing....We live in Lewisville but we are from Terrell and still have most family there. Nice to meet you.....
I do believe I was the only one from ND that yelled at PIR, I feel like the lonely cowgirl

Hi everyone, my son Drew left out yesterday and I got my 1 min call from him at 12:15 am this morning. He sounded good but oh man I am already missing him so much but I think most of it is because I can't call him...If I knew I could just pick up the phone it would not be so bad yet!!! LOL.. We live in Lewisville, TX but also are from and still have lots of family in Terrell, TX. I will be really happy when I find out his address so that I can write him.
Boot camp seems to be the longest time for us moms. My son just graduated Friday Aug. 15th. Just know that your son will be fine!! My advice to you is pray.....a lot!! And you will see that God will take care of your son and give you the peace you need!!
