Oh no, I got busy at work and forgot!
Hope all of you get letters tomorrow.  I got one today and it was REALLY short compared to the novels that I received last week.  He has been super busy and was really looking forward to this week when they would have weapons training.  Apparently they had a bit of it last week, but no firing.  That was scheduled for this week.
I to recieved a letter today, it was brief, one paragraph.  He didnt really say much, just that he misses us all and that things are going to start to get busier.
Yes, I received a short letter also, just one page.  Said he was doing fine and it felt good to finally hear a voice last week from home. He also noted that they are getting better at marching in sink, and that hell week is approaching. Simulated firing range, live firing range, fire fighting, gas chamber, & Test 2. I hope they all do well during this week.  God be with them all!!!
Hi Moms!  We were happy to get a letter from our son on Wednesday, June 15.  I think it's been an emotional roller coaster for him, as well as us.  We are all counting down the days and can't wait to hear from him (missed his first and only call) and can't wait to see him.  He wrote about a page and a half and asked us to send more stamps since he only had 3 left.  It just so happened that his brother, his dad, and a friend of mine all just sent stamps to him in the last few days, so he should be set.  I also printed some labels for him (to save time)...some with his address (to use as return addresses) and some with addresses of family members and friends.  I hope they will allow him to use them.  Does your computer beep when you are on this website?  Is that a reminder of some sort?  I am home from work today with our two grandchildren, so am waiting by the phone since it's Thursday, hoping he will call.  Sorry about the lengthy messages...I just get carried away sometimes.  Take care.
Hi PeggyAnn...the 'beeping" is from the chat room I think.  You can mute your computer. There may be another way to turn that off I'm not sure.  Glad your son is doing well.
I have my phone with me at all times, just hoping they will earn a phone call.  I even bring it to the gym which I have never done before, but I would never forgive myself if I missed that call.
Hi all...I am glad to hear some of you recieved letters...i am hopeing for one today.  Glad to know that our recruits are doing well. They have all accomplished so much already!  It's amazing. Maybe next week we can win the trivia question!  Have a great day ladies.
I got my letter!  "Mailman Stalking" seems to be a sport on here. lol  All seems to be well with my recruit--nothings negative at all in his letter. He did say twice, "Don't forget my cell phone when you come up for PIR".  He wants to call and talk to his friends while on Liberty, even if it's just for a few short days.
Good for you!  I am happy for you.  Good idea about bringing his cell phone.
PeggyAnn - Look to the lower right corner of the screen and you'll see a figure of a person and a green dot.  Click on that green dot and it will turn red -- no more beeps!  :)

MidwestMom - Thanks for the information. That has been driving me nuts.  I just finally muted my computer. I guess I haven't looked around that much on this site.

Hope everyone is dueing well. They start week 4 this next week.  My son seemed a little concerned, yet excited about it. I can't believe just 20 more days until PIR. Some days if seems like it has been forever and others go fast and busy enough that it doesn't seem possible. God be with our young men this week during "hell week".
