Hey Ladies!

My husband wants me to enjoy a night out with him sometime but I can't do that because I don't have anyone here to watch the children & seeing as we just moved to San Diego area we don't know anyone we can trust to watch our precious lil rugrats at such late hours... I personally would rather stay home but it has been two years since I've done anything that didn't include my babies & I guess it would be nice to cut lose for a few hours! This would be for a late night job if you know a good responsible trusted baby sitter please send me some info via message!  Any recommendations?

Go to SitterCity.com they do background checks and you can find someone easily.

Wow I have the same problem.I used Sittercity and found one but she doubled her prices when she got state qualified. It's kind of scary, I ended up having to talk to the Sheriff's Dept. because of someone who was in contact with me on that site(caught with child porn) so now I am even more hesitant to find a sitter. But I would totally be interested too if anyone knows someone safe.Previous to this whole military lifestyle I only had family sit for my kids...
Yea same here...I only usually trust family members! My husband suggested Craigslist I was like "Are you kidding me?" that's like scam central! But I will definitely check out Sittercity and of course do some investigating along the way...If your in San Diego area maybe we can baby sit for each other!
Yeah I am in SD.The good thing about Sittercity is they did give me a heads up about that sitter, also it is free for military. What ages are your kiddos?
That's awesome! How long have ya'll been here...I have two boys Gavin(3) && Gabriele(6months)! How about you!?
We have been here since last August,how bout you?I have a 10yo boy,a 4yo girl,and a 2yo girl.
Aww how sweet! I have three also but my daughter is currently on Guam with my family she'll be 6 years old at the end of the month...We just moved here on April 30th...so far we love California...My husband is right now attending C school at Point Loma then sometime in August he will be on the USS KIDD which homeports in San Diego also! Lucky us! I've looked up the Sittercity site it seems trusted and legit...but I'm still iffy on the whole stranger watching my kid type thing...Its such a scary thing to think about...
Oh that's great that you won't have to move again after his C school! It is a good site, but yeah I don't really like the idea much myself. And I have had a really hard time making friends out here so swapping sitting hasn't been much of an option.
Sorry to hear that...we should definitely find a free weekend sometime in the future where we can all meet up and see where that goes...&& who knows swapping sitting just might work out for us! =)
Yeah that would be cool.
You could also try Care.com, they do backgroud checks of all the nanny/sitters. I know lots of people who have tried it out and were happy with the outcomes!
Thank you!! I will definitely check that out! =)
