Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son is 225 as well and said battle stations was next week too

My recruit hasn't mentioned any dates for BS (12/226). I don't know what's worse, no news or unconfirmed news.

SailorMomLisa:  It really depends on the lines for the phones.  They do usually call by division also.  You can mail him your itinerary....and possibly it will fall within the time they can call.  He could then wait until last to call, if necessary, to try and fall into your time period. 

What we tell people to do when they may be in flight when the I'm a Sailor call comes is to change their voicemail greeting to greet your new sailor...and then ask that your sailor call back many times to leave many messages so you will have them waiting for you.  It isn't the same as speaking with him/her, of course, but better than nothing. 

Oh, and the calls usually don't start as early as 1 pm GL time....they normally average closer to 2 pm.  If Div 223 calls first before 224, then you will be all set because his call could come after you have arrived in Chicago!

No, zana:  Their division won't go next week.  There are already 4 divisions going on Thurs night, which is the maximum number allowed....and they usually go in numerical order, lowest to highest number (800 and 900 divisions not included in that---they are random).  However, one time in the 1.5 years I have been on this site, I saw where some lower numbered divisions were moved back and higher number ones took their place due to a delay in training for the lower numbered ones.  But like I said, that has only happened once since I have been on here.  Div 225/226 should go either Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs of PIR week.

Offtrack:  Well, neither is very comfortable!  Div 226 will definitely go with Div 225....that's all we know for sure!

Remember, up to 4 divisions can go a night.  These are the possibilites for that week:

Tues/Wed:  223,224,934  or   223,224,815   or    224,223,934,815   or    223,224,225,226

Wed/Thurs: 225,226  or   225,226,815 

Confusing, huh?  That is why it is just better to wait to hear from your SRs on when they are going.  I'm thinking it is pretty sure that 934 will go Tues/Wed as they will need to practcie for the PIR they are performing in.

Maybe they will let the push Div go first, or maybe my SR was wrong about the date.The days maybe all running together. I sure we will find out soon enough.

It could be that what they meant was that their PIR group is starting BattleStations next week, which is true.  Thurs night for 219-222 at this point.  But there can always be changes!  We never say never!

Hi Everyone  -  My son just called my husband and he said that BS is on the 6th for Div. 225. We will already be in Chicago by the time they call on Thursday. Pray they all pass with Flying Colors!!!

Thanks, Susie.  I removed the questionmarks that I had on that date for 225/226. 

Now if we can just get confirmation on 815 and 934, we have a complete schedule up top!

I think the 6th is when 225/226 will be making their 'I'm a sailor' calls.  I believe they will do BS July 5/6 from my letters and yesterday's phone call...

Oh boy...more confusion on the dates!  Susie had said the 6/7.  Confusing....alot will depend on when 934 goes.  If they go on Tues night, 225/226 cannot go then...too many divisions at one time.  I don't think 934 will go on Wed night since they are performing Friday....they may be really tired then.  Thurs night, there are already 4 divisions going, although one 934 lady thought they were going then...and there won't be any Fri, Sat, Sun, or Mom nights...because of the 4th of July.  So I guess we shall just wait and see.
