Carol....just checking to see if you got a letter today?  I still didn't and was really surprised.  I am about 850 miles away, but still...if it was mailed on Monday, I should have gotten it by now.  I am worried that something happened and he wasn't able to write.

What made us think we were going to get a call?

Does anyone know why they call it hell week?  Maybe I don't want to know:).
Its called hell week because they do intensive training my father who is a vet says thats when they do the obstacle course so wish them luchk and tell them to keep strong

Anjelina...have you checked your inbox lately?  I sent you an answer to the "is your son named Mike" (it's not) question, but never heard back from you.  Since then, I have talked to my son and gotten another letter with more info.  I am almost certain

you are the person my son is telling me to contact.  If you haven't checked your inbox, please do! :-)

Good morning!  Woke up this morning praying for our group.  They had a PFA test this morning.  I think they also had one Monday morning, if I understood my son's letters correctly.  They are coming to the close of "hell week", and I am sure that we are all relieved, though not as much as they are!!!  My son told me he would likely be too busy and too tired to write me this week, so I'm really not looking for a Tuesday or Thursday letter.  I hope all of you were encouraged with your letters this week.  Can't wait to read the one written this coming Sunday....*after* they've survived the week!  Hope everyone has a great Friday!

OK....double checked my son's letter and realized I was wrong about the PFA test.  It was Monday morning. They had a written test today, I believe.  I know they are probably all exhausted by now.  If they can just get through tomorrow, Sunday will bring some rest for them.  I am guessing it will be a special experience to be there for the 4th of July.
I hope the RDC's will take them out to see the fireworks.  Supposed to be a big three day celebration there. My son said it was a rumor that they would let them and he was praying it was true.
Has  anyone  heard  whether they  have  gone  through  Battle  Stations  yet? It  is  only  2  weeks  away  and  I  have  no  idea how  well  my  son  is  doing and  should I plan  on going  to Great  Lakes on  the  22nd. The  last  letter  said   he  and  a few  others  had  to  stay   behind  and  clean  while  the  rest  went  shooting. That  sounds  like  he  was  in  trouble.  He  also  said  they  were  going  to  have  their  drill  test   today  but  seemed  concerned  on  how well  the  division  would  do. Also  he  told  me  about the  facebook  picture  of the  division marching  but  he  wasn't  in  it.  I  wonder  why.  Any  ideas.  I  feel  I  am  lacking  so  much  information and  would   appreciate  more  details.  Thank  you.

Dear Betsy,

They haven't done Battlestation yet and I just got 2 letters today from my son and he said Div 234 is doing good. They got 2 flags in zone and drill. Hope this helps.

Kathleen

I  thought   today  was  the  day  we  can  get  the  graduation  info but  I  can't  pull  the  site  up.  I s anyone  else  having  the  same  problem?
What site?  are you talking about the Recruit Training Family Guide??  where we can print out the parking passes??    I couldn't either...but I thought it was because I'm at work, so didn't know if it was a blocked site or not.  have to wait till I get home??
I think they are probably changing it so that we can get the parking passes
