Eubanks Girl.

I am passing your discussion on to Angie and to Anti M. I am sure they will be able to answer your questions.

thanks!

They CANNOT deny your tricare if you marry.  That is a scare tactic and a damn lie.  Also, he may get punished for disobeying the rules, such as set back to phase one liberty, but the Navy absolutely CANNOT deny a sailor's request to marry (unless he is underage).   I suggest he push harder and higher up his chain of command.  His "person in charge" also has a boss, your sailor can talk to them also.   His chain of command is NOT supposed to sit on his chit like that, they are supposed to get it signed in a timely fashion.  He needs to ask who has the chit at this point and why it is "stalled".  There is NO GOOD reason to stall the marriage and health care of his child.

They cannot bust him, and if they try, I'd have him ask for a Request Captain's Mast and he can tell the CO about their little games.

Good luck.

FYI I was an ET1 in the Navy, so he knows this isn't just some random civilian with an opinion.

well he is very desperate and trying everything so i will deff give him all this info

I am going to guess that this young Sailor hasn't been very up front with his chain of command about what is going on.  As if the Chain of command new what was going on I know they would do everything they could do to assist this young Sailor.  Feel free to message me and add me as a friend so I can assist in getting this corrected.

FYI...I am an Acitve Duty Chief at your soon to be hubbies command.

Trust Angie.

There is something wrong with this, something really wrong.

he has told everyone whats going on he has talked to chaplins, legal, taken the classes twice and everything!!! he is very big on rules and doing things the right way and he wants to stay in for life lol so he does not want to do this the wrong way!
Prayers  going up for you Precious Eubanks Girl!!! Have you considered approaching the Chaplain, your Sailor has one....he could talk to one I'm sure!  I have always heard that when nothing else is working out for you:  see the Chaplain, they can always pull lots of strings and/or send you to the right place to get help!   Keep on seeking help, please keep calm and be confident that all will work out just fine!  You came to a good place to get help, these Ladies care and will count it all joy to help you out!  If you are so a mind, I am on a great group called EV's Christian Chat with lots of mom's that love to pray for people & would wrap you up in LOVE.... you may want to check it out!  Love ya, Hisbelovedlinda
Love your advice Hisbelovedlinda. You are so right.

You should get married. My husband and i were married before he left for boot camp. BUT his recruiter told him NOT to get married or he would be punished and could be kicked out! His recruiter transferred out of the office and a new one came in and took over.. and my husband told him we were getting married.. and he said it was no problem.. and we got married in court that week! we had our ceremony 10 days before he left for boot camp. I know its not the same as your situation, but i really feel like you should just go ahead and do it.

Your child and you deserve to have health care! They cannot deny you of that! i have NEVER heard of you not being able to get tricare. I know he wants to follow rules, but he has to understand the amount of money this is going to cost him out of pocket! You really need to talk to him! Have YOU tried calling navy legal? I called GL and spoke with 'kevin' with an issue i had, he was VERY helpful !

Legal can not legally assist this young women unless she was married or if she already had the child and was seeking child support.

well we have been praying about this for a while and i know God always has a reason for the things be does....i think i know why now :) . he is gonna try to but in a chit to come home september 1st weekend and apply to get married that weekend. since it has been put off that long we might as well try for this. it would be so amazing and wonderful and were hoping and praying it gets approved! please pray as well this would be a dream come true!!!
