Ladies, I got my second letter for the week. Finally got some answers to some of my concerns. He told me that he had not read some of my letters. My SR is in a positive frame of mind and is doing well.  He did mention that Hell week is next week with some long days coming up for the div. So they will be training hard to get through the upcoming challenges. We will continue to keep all our SRs our prayers.  I wrote to him today and gave all the names of your SRs to see if he knows them out of the other 81 SRs in div 244.  Post comments as often as you can.
(ship 11 Div 244) Hi, I'm Barbara and my son is Corey. I've made reservations at Spring Hill Suites. I haven't made plane reservations yet. I have received a couple calls from my son too. He sounds great. He got his orders and if nothing changes he leaves Sat for Pensacola A. I look forward to meeting all of you. I'm going to be joined by my son's best friend and his Mom which is like his other Mother. The boys met when they were 3.

Hi Barbara welcome happy to meet another Mom from a SR in our Div. please  keep in touch with us here and be sure to keep us updated with any information about the div and your SR. Are you planing to attend the meet and greet for PIR 08/05/2011. I hope so I would love to meet as many loved ones of our SR's as possible.

I got a letter from my SR and he tells me that he is going across the street to school for 4 weeks after graduation, followed by 14-day leave, then his home port will be in San Diego which is great for us, only 5 hrs away. Can't wait to hear how hell week went though. He hasn't reported that he has been sick though but then he never gets sick, must be the healthy life he leads. Hahaha, he lived on junk food before boot camp.

Hi my name is Damaris I have been  trying for a long time to conect with this group my son is also on the same ship

Welcome Damaris. Hope you have heard from your SR? You have probably read the posts and seen some of our names and that of our SRs. Hopefully our SRs know each other.  I am in TX and looking forward to PIR in August.
Finally I read welcome  smile yes I got a letter on Friday I am in AR. I will be driving to Chicago on the 4th and yes I'm looking forward to PIR. My son will stay at Great Lakes for A school so we will have time to spend with him

Does anyone know when they will get their next phone call home?  I was out of the country and missed my son's 3 week call.  I don't need to tell you how I feel about that.  It has been a long 4.5 weeks.  I just keep praying to hear from him.

Welcome Damaris happy to have you with us I hope you are planning to attend the meet and greet for the PIR 08/05/2011

Marcie I understand what you mean i did get to talk to my SR for 8 min. it was not enough though. I feel the four and half weeks as such a long time but they have been gone longer than we have to wail to see them. again. Guess you can see I think alot about this.

As I understand the 3 wk call and the "I am a sailor" call is the only calls they usually get. If they get more it is a privilege. . It is very hard for me to say that as I always have my phone with me and am hoping he will call. Even find my self wanting him to do really well in something to get to make a phone call.

But I hope you will find us as a help to get though this time in our lives as I know our SR's are helping each other. Dont forget to post any information you receive about the Div and your SR we want to know.

I thank all of you for posting what you can about what your SR's are letting you know it is a great to hear about them and the div.

Sistersue- happy you got the information of what is going to happen to your son after BC I hope we all can hear soon. What happens next.

I don't know if any of you are aware but on Tuesday they have a Trivia Tuesday and the one that answers correctly and first gets there div's picture put on face book.
