Hello.  Anyone out there with the same div?  My daughter left for BC on the 24th of May.  I received her box on Tuesday and it was hard not to cry.

Ours doesn't get in till 2:50

submarine.  We are flying in on Wednesday because the flight on Thursday would have not gotten us there in time for the meet and greet.

I get letters on Wednesday, so I am getting ready to stalk the mail carrier lol.....
My husband is 2/937, carrying the Florida flag for PIR. I'm so happy he'll be easy to spot, and I'm hoping the future pictures of the next couple of graduations give me a peek at him! I haven't been counting down since May 24th, to prevent myself from creating it into a LONG 2 months, but now that it's almost 2 weeks I can't stop counting! Can't wait to get the phone call that he's passed everything! (No, I'm not a Navy Mom, but this is the best site with the most followers! =))
My daughter is playing the snare drum and they play this Friday for the ones that are graduating. She's happy about that.

Hello Sbeechl,  I just received a letter from my daughter in Ship 2 div 937 and I think our daughters our BFF's.  She writes about her new friend and is very thankful to have made a good friend.  My daughter is Sam from WA and was wondering if we had chatted at all.  I would like to write her back soon and tell her we've made contact. Lee from WA

I just got home from a road trip with my other daughter looking at colleges. I got a letter from her today saying something about her div not passing a test? I don't know. I can hardly read her writing. We come into Chicago around 3 pm on the 28 th. Staying at the navy lodge. I plan on going to the meet and greet. I can't wait to see her. She hasn't mentioned any names really in her letters except of course the leaders. Btw my name is Susan from El Paso

Hi susan,  I am LeeAnn from Spokane Washingon.   Samantha did not say anything about a test.  She did say she is carrying the New York flag so we are to sit on the south side.  She did say their next phone call will be the 25th!!  She also is very excited to be enjoying ice cream after lunch on Sundays!!

We are driving to Great Lakes...UGH!!!  Hope to arrive around 5pm on Thursday!   We are also staying at the Navy lodge.  Is the meet and greet at the Navy Lodge?

No, the Meet and Greet is at the Ramada Inn Waukegan.  I was talking to a lady whose son graduated from boot camp there in Great Lakes in 1997 and their Meet and Greet at that time was on the base in the hanger that Graduation is in.  Their Meet and Greet was on Thursday evening before graduation and you got to see the recruits in their uniforms and talk with them for about 45 minutes.  Wouldn't that be wonderful!!

One Proudmama to another ProudMama, yes that would be wonderful.  As is stands we may only get Friday and the airport Sat. with our daughter before she flies out to Pensacola.

We are going to try and go to Meet and Greet but after 2 days in car we may be  a little tired and cranky!!  I can't believe  we will see our sailors in 15 days!!

Hi proudmama,

Yes alter all this time, only 15 more days yet!!

We have a lot going on that weekend.  Our older son lives in VA and is getting married July 30th.  So we are driving to VA on the 27th, then fying out of Charlottesville airport that evening to O'Hare in Chicago about 11:15 PM and picking up our rental car, hopefully before 11:30 PM and driving to the Navy Lodge. We plan to do the Meet and Greet Thursday evening.   We don't know yet when our recruit will leave for Groton, CT.  (He was to be the best man in his brother's wedding).  We have  to be on the plane back to VA by 1:10 PM on Friday for the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.  I feel so bad that we can't spend much time with our son in GL., but at least we will be there for his graduation.

Wow ProudMama what a crazy weekend you will have!  I will stop whining about my drive from Washington!  Your boys sure know how to keep you busy!
