Carol....just checking to see if you got a letter today?  I still didn't and was really surprised.  I am about 850 miles away, but still...if it was mailed on Monday, I should have gotten it by now.  I am worried that something happened and he wasn't able to write.

We think it is:

231-232  THURS/FRI

936          SUN/MON

233-234  MON/TUE

BUT  we have not had confirmation on 936 that I know of.  My son's second to last letter said Sun or Tue so who knows....I am hoping for Sun/Mon otherwise I will be in the air on the way to Chicago when that "I'm a Sailor" call comes in.

Monday night thru Tuesday morning is right, I was so excited as I typed I typed it wrong, sorry!!
Ladies who have sons in 11/234, my SR asked me to give a message to the Mom that post on facebook how proud of him she is. I have a name but for obvious reasons I will not post it openly. But if you fit the above description please send me a friend request so I can tell you what he said, it is good!!
Hi Katheleen 10      I didnt see where it was that you were talking about  "if you fit the above discription?"  Well..I'm sure it isnt me..you're already on my friend list AND my son ..(I dont think) unless he's REALLY changed!!  LOL   would openly say anything affectionately (sp)  about mom or dad  (unfortunately)     anyway...we didnt even get a letter this week!!   hope everythings ok.....  keep me posted!!   thanks, Carol
i miss my husband so much but we are so close. In my letter he said they did their test 3 on friday. I can't wait to get that call. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

was that 936 that took the written test on Friday?  When was the letter written?  I am wondering because my son said the date had been changed but that was a letter written on the 8th.  If he was right it would have moved their BS date too...I am checking to see if your letter was written after the 8th, if so then BS would still be 17th/18th

No im sorry it was div 234 the letter was dated july 12.
Im on the phone with my son!!!!! Div 234
Ship 11 Div WON THE MOTIVATIONAL CHANT IN THE CAPTAIN'S CUP !!!
What exactly is the motivational chant award?  Spoke w my SR yesterday and while he was very excited and ready for BattleStation this Monday/Tuesday, he did not mentioned this award.  He did tell me to keep the phone with me at all time to receive the "call".  I can't wait to see him on Friday!
I think each division had to make up there own motivational chant and perform them for everyone else.  234 was voted best chant.  Not sure who voted...recruits, officers?  I asked my son to tell me what it said, and he said it was too long, and he'd tell me next Friday.

Just had a 58 minute conversation with my son a short while ago.  He said all the division was in the room together on the phone, so we must have all been catching up with them at the same time!  He told me about 234 winning motivational chant award.  He sounded so good.  Not feeling well with the sore throat and such, but says he is gonna push through it for Battle Stations.  It was a wonderful conversation.  Kathleen....I was pretty sure you were referring to me in your earlier "if you fit this description" post, but after talking to him, I'm almost certain it's me.  I sent you a friend request.  If it's not me, forgive me, but the stories he was telling me sounded like you must be talking about me.  If so, I can't wait to hear what your son said.  My son had me rolling with laughter about it all...

Hope everyone had wonderful conversations with their loved ones!!!
