Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know how many weeks they will be there? Do they graduate on a Friday also. We plan on attending that graduation as well, but I will need to try to put in for my time off soon.

Weeks in Pensacola? It depends on the rate. What is he going to school for? There really are no formal ceremonies for A school graduation, its fairly short and sweet. But Pensacola is a fun base to visit, and lots to do in the area, so you could always visit him while he is in A school, just wait until he has been there a while, as he may not have liberty privledges at the start of a school. The could graduate any day of the week in Pensacola.
I'm sorry I am not sure of the correct term.. I think AO??? He will be making the bombs etc and loading them onto the jets etc..
Great- Thanks!!
My daughter is AO, she went to Pensacola on March 22 and left on June 22, so she was there for 3 months, its never exact times or dates for anyone leaving A school, it will also depend on his orders,if its still the same, my daughters orders were for a squadron, so she went to her first command and did her C school there. Her friend is ships company and she stayed in Pensacola longer and did her c school in Pensacola. They will have indoc, when they get there, which could take about a week, then they have other classes to take, as they move along they will class up, until they completed everything required of them, then they will start their A school, many get to leave Pensacola as soon as A school is completed, they will have their orders for their first command. Her graduation ceremony was very brief, its more for the sailors that now they can wear the rate on their uniforms as they have completed A school.
Thank you for your help and all the info
Hello my hubby is here for AO school as well we have been here since March 30th and he graduates Aug 8th.  Every experience is different due to the fact they have to wait to class up which means they have to wait for the schools to start.  The first month here he had no school just his watch qualifactions and things they are required to do on this base.  He is ships company which means he will be here another 5 to 8 weeks after graduation depending on how long they have to wait for the class to start.  The class time itself is not that long.  The longest one is 3 weeks I believe.
Oh yeah and his graduation is on a Monday so no not always on friday LOL
Thanks for the info
