Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am  starting this discussion to try and connect with all the loved ones whose SR is in this Div. I have never done anything like this but since my SR is off trying new things I figured I better start trying too. Please reply and lets support our SR's together and gather as much information as possible about how they are doing   I have received 2 letters and one 10 min. phone call.He is doing well but He didn't really talk about the Div..Has any body heard from there SR on how our div is doing? Who is goiing to PIR 08/05/2011? I am!

Got the Call He is a Sailor says whole div 244 Passed. So nice to hear his voice. come on 08/05/2011

I missed my call once again. But his sister talked to him and HE IS A SAILOR!!!!!

 

SR Harris is now a sailor! So proud of him, cried through his whole call. He said the last haul was long and he was tired but had to call home first. Hey, would one of you post pictures of PIR for me, laid up and won't be able to make it no matter how much I begged the doctor. I didn't know if this day would ever come and can't wait till next friday gets here and boot camp is behind them. Thanks to all of you for the encouraging words that helped me through bootcamp.

I got the call! He said everyone passed. He got an hour to chat. I am so happy and will sleep well tonight!

Congrats to all 11/244 SAILORS ! You made it ! We couldn't be PROUDER and HAPPIER for you!

PS Your moms will actually SLEEP tonight!!!!

 2 GOD BE THE GLORY for DIV 244 I was in the beauty shop when I got the call I,m a Sailor. So I can't wait  to meet you guys .
Got the call.I was as the hair salon.Spoke to my Sailor of half a hour. Cant wait to see him at PIR. 
Congratulations to all the new Sailors in Div 243, 244 and 817. Cant wait to see you all in your whites. I will definitely sleep better tonight.

Well I just wanted to connect with you and tell you thanks for all the posting that was done on this discussion so far it has let me know that our Sailors were in good company and that I wasn't alone on this journey Feel like I have made some great connections hope to meet you all.I feel so grateful that our Sailors are done and that they are getting ready for the next part of their journey. Less that 5 days to see our Sailors.  YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sistersue I was sad to hear that you won't be able to attend the graduation. Glad to hear that your son will be stationed close enough for you to visit or for him to visit.

I just receive a call from my SAILOR it was nice to hear from him again he just need some info but it was great to talk to him. I pray that everyone have a safe trip I'm so excited to meet everyone on THURSDAY.
