Hi Jamie - First off, is your daughter's last name the same as yours?  If so, I'd recommend changing your name to something that won't connect you to your daughter. Your daughter is now in the military and part of being military is abiding by rules meant to keep them safe.  Just go to your Settings (upper right on screen) and change your name.  If her name is different, then disregard.  :)

Have you joined your PIR group -    PIR: Sept 16, 2011           TG 44 - 13 Divisions (303–314 & 944)  It is there that you'll be able to connect with all the families that have loved ones graduating on the same day as your daughter.  You can share hotel information, excitement about phone calls, and all the trials and tribulations families go through while their SR is in training.  In the discussion forum on that page, you may be able to join a smaller group that have SR's in your daughters actual division.  They are the ones she's training with, earning phone calls with, and will eventually go through BS with.  The PIR groups are awesome!  Best of luck to you and your SR!  Thank you for raising a child willing to serve her country!

I did change my name yesterday .... I did not think of that when I got on here !

Thank you do much for your input and suggestions

I am having a hard time with her going away from home !

I feel that is web page really helps I see that I am not the only Mother out here with the same feelings.

N4M was my lifeline before my son left and while he was in BC.  I knew this was what he wanted and he was physically and mentally prepared, but that doesn't mean I wasn't his momma and that I didn't worry or stress!  Hopefully you've joined your PIR group and there you'll find many parents going through the gambit of emotions right along with you...pride, fear, worry, loneliness, emptiness, frustrations, and utter joy from random phone calls and letters.  It does get easier when they are in A-school and have cell phones!  Just hold tight for the next 4 weeks...you are halfway done.  Keep praying for her and her division!!
