This discussion is for those who have an SR in Ship 04, DIV 820 and 821,  PIR 10/14/11.   These are brother divisions and will be spending a lot of time together from what I understand.  Remember OPSEC rules and for security purposes...no pictures of your SR or names of SR.  God bless you all!

Thanks TexasSailorMom!  I appreciate the info and the advice.

Thanks TexasSailorMom!!  My SR is training for Air Rescue Swimmer... I was wondering the same thing from other moms as I don't see them talking much about their specific contracts they are training for, wasn't sure if there was some kind of rule against that or not.
My SR is in the SEAL program.  Can't wait to get that first letter!
My SR is going Seal as well. So proud of him but know he has a long tough road to reach his goal.

Mine too.  Have you read Warrior Elite?

No- I have heard great things about it though.  Maybe will download a copy.  :)
Hey, Texas Sailor Mom--I too am a Texas Sailor Mom--step mom actually, but I love him like he was my own.  I'll be coming up to GL from Houston.  Where are you in Texas?  Can't wait to see everyone, especially my son.  Getting so excited!
cmpnavymom welcome to the PIR 10/14 and you ship and DIV discussions please remember OPSPEC for the safety of your SR.
No rule against that, just no names or pics. We use first initials or u can just say "my SR" for now. If u aren't sure about posting something u can send a pm, so b sure to friend each other. And you may want to friend the 821 div also as any guys from there with the same rate(job) as ur guys will b together after BC so it is good to get to know those moms too. U may want to change the discussion to b 4 both 800 div's. They will be training together.

Hello Fellow Sailor Moms~ I hope tonight finds you well and trying to stay busy. I keep wondering what my son is doing every day. I cant wait for that first phone call, which he said might not be until next Sunday. I hope!

October 14th can not come soon enough either~

Just a word of caution so u don't get worried or disappointed. The only regularly scheduled calls are at the End of week 3 or beginning of week 4, and the I'm a Sailor call after Battlestations the last week/weekend b4 PIR. Most get to make these calls bu if they have watch duty or some appt. sometimes they miss even these calls.  Anything else has to be earned and they don't tend to do a lot of those with the 800 div. Just keep ur phones close as they could earn a call at any time of day. Our only extra call was when they won Captain's Cup the last Sat. b4 PIR. other then that it was just letter writing.Hang in there! it gets better, and remember, no news is good news! If they r held back or dropped or injured u will get a call.

So for the three weeks ,does it include the processing week? Just curious....Probably a stupid question. Do they make calls by divisions?
