I will. She is our first to go and her sister is also planning on enlisting in the Navy.
Hello Ladies...been off the radar for a few days...mommadash...I wonder if our daughter will know one another..is she excited?

I think it is a combination of excitement, and nervousness. It would be great if they did know each other!

How is your daughter handling it?

Hi! My daughter is really excited..not so much nervous just ready to go ....She is 19, and will be 20 in Jan..We are in California, so they will meet up in the middle..How long was your daughter a depper?  This whole process has moved rather quickly for us, well quickly for me.  We went to speak with the recruiter in June and she went to meps at the first part of August and gave her the leave date of Oct 6...The recruiter kept saying "oh it will be 6 months to a year before she leaves." yeah right, not!  So we've been in "get ready and prepared mode for a couple of weeks"  we've been taking care of little things before she leaves.  How are you guys doing?
Our daughter has been in DEP since February. She is 18. I think the waiting is wearing on her a bit. She works right now, and is planning on putting in her resignation for around the fifteenth of September. She got A/S, so after bc she will be going to Pensacola FL. Her dad and I are handling it better than we thought we would at this time. LOL. Several of her friends have enlisted in various branches of the military. I think a shorter wait is better, less to think about. This has been a really long eight months.

Welcome Sandollar-

Thank you for your son's upcoming service.
