Hi Carebear.  My son is Ship 02 div 949 too. Just wanted to say hi!

Hello, I am happy to hear from other parents as well..  I pray that our son's do really well.  Since I received his letter I have sent two letters.

Hi Ladies,

My daughter graduated in division 937, this is a performance division and you are really lucky!  Lucky??  they perform for two weeks before their graduation.  So look at random pictures on they rtc facebook page and there is also trivia tuesday!  If you have question about 900 divisions, I would be happy to try to answer them.

Thanks for the heads up...  I will be really happy to see him on his PIR 10/21...at the same time we are really proud of him,  I think if he can make it the first three weeks he will be okay.  How long does the graduation last?

Graduation usually lasts about two hours.  Your SR will be done in plenty of time to have lunch with you.  Another good idea is to do a search on how to increase run time and send it to your SR.  Some SRs have trouble making the run, and any ideas can sure help them.  Their were several in our group that had that problem, so just trying to give everyone the heads up!
Make sure you ask your SR what they are gonna be doing during graduation, as they will not line up like the other graduating  Sailors.  I joined the two graduating N4M's 900's groups and asked them if they got a chance to snap me a photo of my SR.  These moms will be looking at the performers because their SRs will be somewhere on the floor with your SR.
Does this refer to all 900 Divisions or just to Ship 06 900 Divisions?  I haven't heard of this before. And I can tell you, my darling son does not have any musical talents.  So I'm just wondering what the guidelines for this are? Can anyone help with this?
It can be for marching, my daughter was in ROTC drill teams.  Others can be what they call body snatchers, they walk around during the graduations for SRs that may fall out.  Some are greeters at the doors, there are just alot of different things that they do....

This is cool that they are in this division I am very anxious to talk to him soon, I am not for sure if this is considered week 2 or 3?

Hi Carebear, they should be starting week three this week. I can't wait to hear what my son will be doing at PIR. I spoke with his recruiting officer yesterday and he was pretty impressed that my son was put in a 900 division.  Until Saturday I had no idea they even existed.  Is your son musical or did he do ROTC?
He was in the Naval SeaCadets for four years.  His younger brother is now wanting to join the SeaCadet program.  I am going to let him join in March.
Ship02 div 949  , the last digit of the postal code, is it a 3 or 5, thanks
