Hi, my son Adam is in ship 12 div 353 also, he will be a DC. I just got his form letter also, a note on the back said he is "not liking it, he had been up for 24 hours and they scream and swear" hopefully week 2 gets a tiny bit better for
Him.
We are from N.H.
Those first few days are the worse, it will get better, just send encouragement for him.  I sent a page of jokes in each letter when my daughter was in boot camp.  Just let him know, he can do it, and it will all be over soon!  Tell him just to take it one day at a time, tomorrow is a new day!
Nice to meet you Adam's Mom.  I'm wishing Adam the best.  Hopefully he starts to build up thick skin towards the swearing.  I think that would bother me, too.
Alex, my son said in his four lines that so far it was fun.  Now I am questioning his sanity. ;)  Just kidding.  I am so happy to hear he is enjoying it.  What a relief.  Glad to meet you guys.
So nice to see all of you on here...knowing that we have kids together sleeping in the same place at night gives me a sense of comfort!  I am confident they will all make it through this together ...and do great!!
Nice to meet you, too, B'sproudmom.  I am loving having a connection with people going through the same thing.
If you guys haven't already done it, you should "like" the Recruit Training Command page on Facebook.  It has tons of good information and is monitored by RTC, so you know the info is valid.  Also, if you go to the discussion section, you'll be able to find a heading for 12/353 specifically.  RTC has weekly trivia and photo ID contests.  Each week the winner gets a picture posted of his or her chosen division.  Now who wouldn't want a pic of our SR?
Found the page...where do you join the discussions?

Hopefully Adam is setteling in by now.  Nice to meet you all. I am awaiting Adam's first real letter. Hoping this week. I am getting excited for Graduation. I will be so proud.  Talk Soon- Trish

Hey gals,

Just a heads up.  It looks like only 7 divisions are graduating on October 21.  So chances are good that if you have more than four people in your group that they'll all get in to see PIR.

Awesome! Looking for flights out of Boston. We have booked the Ramada. Should we rent a car? Anyone have insight on that?
Hey

I haven't heard from Adam besides the form letter, Is this normal? I would have thought he would have written by now. Does this mean he is in the "brig" or something??

Getting Concerned!
