This discussion is for those who have an SR in Ship 04, DIV 820 and 821,  PIR 10/14/11.   These are brother divisions and will be spending a lot of time together from what I understand.  Remember OPSEC rules and for security purposes...no pictures of your SR or names of SR.  God bless you all!

What is Mortons? I think my SR is expecting Joes Crab Shack.    I am anxious for some corny family time. Although we have 3 kids with one missing there sure is a big hole at the dinner table.  Also cooking for one less (one that has been in training for almost a year) has been so weird he ate for about 3.  We have season passes to 6 Flags so also might go there for one of the days to see Fright Fest...

We are toying with the idea of Six Flags on Saturday too!  I've written to see if that is something he would be interested in doing.  Mortons sounds good!  I think i'll just wait and see what he wants and is craving for and we'll go from there.

Mortons is a steakhouse--you pick out a steak off of a platter they bring out to you!
Ok moms I sit here broken hearted...  we got a letter today- or should I say my husband did.  It is addressed to him and I can see through the envelope and it says "dad only"  I cant stop crying.   I cant even read it until my husband gets home and reads it first.  So good news is letters are going out.  :(
Aw....well maybe he also wrote one just to 'mom' and it simply hasn't arrived yet?!?!  Don't be upset, at least you guys did get a letter and that's the important thing.  Hope he is doing well and whatever he has to say inside that letter lessens the sadness you are feeling.  Huggggs!!!
Cyberspace hug going out to you navmom, think of "good" reasons why it was addressed to your husband, concentrate on the positives!
Oh dear, I think it's time for a big "cyber space"group hug" to go out to navmom.  Please try to not let it get you down---you have heard from him, he's ok, and I'm sure your husband will share with you what is appropriate..just think, there could have been some bad or "colorful" jokes in there simply not meant for moms eyes.  You know all of our baby boys are angels and they don't want us to see them in any other way.  I'm still waiting for mine.....or my husbands for that matter.......be strong and just remember, about 36 days till we can put our hands on our kids again!  :)  God Bless
We are only a few hours north of RTC in Wisconsin so our letter (like the box) got here quickly.  Hopefully others will get there tomorrow... Husband was Navy too- wondering if sharing situations- just worried it is bad news he doesnt want me to read... I am such a worry-wort.  :) Thanks for the cyber hugs though. Husband should be home soon and maybe then I will know!
Ok :) Am smiling now... there were 3 letters in the envelope.  Only one indicated it was for dad and he let me look it over was just a request to help locate a bible verse etc.  He said things are going well.  3 have DORd already lots of studying and really likes getting letters. They can only write on Sundays as we knew so looking forward to letters again next week. Thanks so much for all the support- :)  Together we will all get through this.
Yay!!!  Happy for you!  :o)
Big smiles today!!!  :)  :)   :)
Six Flags is an awesome idea too Michaelsmom!  I think you are right though, I think I will let him tell me what he is up to for the weekend.  Our boys may want to go wild and blow off some much deserved steam, or they just may want to chill and relax and keep everything low key.  They rule!
