This discussion is for those who have an SR in Ship 04, DIV 820 and 821,  PIR 10/14/11.   These are brother divisions and will be spending a lot of time together from what I understand.  Remember OPSEC rules and for security purposes...no pictures of your SR or names of SR.  God bless you all!

Hi ladies.  Hug for you navymom!  Praying that your son is doing well.  Morton's sounds like a great idea.  I know my son would love that.  I have a feeling, my son will want to chill, but I'm with you all, I want him to enjoy EVERY second he has to spend with us, whatever it is.  I have a friend whose son graduated from the army, and he asked if he could just take a quick nap, and she said they watched him sleep for 4 hours, but they loved every minute of having him there with them. Who knows what they will want to do.  One thing, I am pretty sure about is that by the time PIR comes around, they all want to see their loved ones.

I ran a long run this morning, and spent time praying that God was watching over our boys and helping them work together.Hoping we all hear from the boys.  Hang in there navymom.  Thinking of you all.

Hey ladies---got a letter from the boy!!!  So far it sounds pretty good.  He said that their favorite things there are passing gas and boyband music (I guess they will start singing together as off tune as possible)  he said it's tough and despite the challenges they face daily the boys stick together as a group and get along pretty good. He did give me a heads up however that there is a rumor that 8 unfortunate kids may be selected for the weekend of the PIR for guard duty ...let's pray that is just that --an ugly rumor.
funny- our letter mentioned gas too!  :)   Ugh lets hope none of them get duty that weekend.
See, they are a team!!!  All I know is we are Proud Navy Mommas!!!!!

our letter mentioned the gas too :)  letter was very up beat and said no worries.  he also said he was making new friends from out of town and he can't wait to bring them home on liberty weekends to go to white castle :)  I cant wait for that either !  The funny part is that for the last year, he never ate fast food, stuck with organic diet and lectured us on health and wellness.  Now he wants to eat white castle - too funny.

No kidding!!! He even yelled at me for eating fast food and goodies! :[

haha Gotta love him though. :] Even when he disses my candy.

Ugh, NO!  I hope it's truly just rumor!

Hi ladies, glad it all worked out!!  Gotta watch that video "I Smile" by Kirk Franklin, it made me "smile"  .....it's in the video tab at top on the first page posted by I SMILE 2011  ..here's the link just in case, hope I did this right (technotard..keeping the term going, right?) if not, I pologize!!

Yayy got my first letter today!! :] It was amazing.

Super glad to hear my SR is doing good. He's bored!!! That made me laugh hysterically! Bored at bootcamp.

Hi  Mama Bear!  We got our letters on Thursday and Merida K got hers but I will let her tell you about it because it's her story..  Wasn't awesome to hear from your SR?  I was crying w/ joy on my way home from work.  My husbnad called me and said I had a letter waiting.  I couldn't wait to get home.  Thanks for being friends with Merida K.  It's good for her to know someone who shares the same tears and fears!  Talk soon!
