I saw one Mom was called just 2 days before PIR. Is that usual?

I got my call about 4:30 pm the day before PIR.  It depends on your SR's division.  My son had 13 divisions in PIR  and his division was the last to go through Battle Stations

proudascanbe--That is normal, my son called 2 days before PIR also it depends on when they do the final test called Battlestations.  Hope this helps you.  We left a day early to take in some sights the day before his graduation so when we got the "I'm a Sailor"  we were on the road to GL.

we received our call the week prior to PIR  about 4-5 hours after Battlestations

Thank you. I will be taking the train to Chicago...so I might be traveling when he tries to call me. Is there any way to find out when BS21 will be for "your" DIV?

Proudascanbe(ship 3 Div 334)  I have asked my daughter to let me know when BS21 is. Hopefully I will know today if I get a letter. I will pass it along in a private message to our group if I get the info. I did find out whe 947 is and if I did the math correctly it will be next week sometime.  but never can tell.
I received my I'm a sailor call on the Tuesday before PIR. Some received there's the week before on Thursday in our training group. However some did not receive their call until the Thursday before PIR. It all depends on when your SR completes BS21.
We received our call on 3/4 which was a Thursday and he granduated 3/11 the following Friday-his was also a large graduation with a lot of divisions

Has anyone from 03/319 recieved there "I'm a Sailor" phone call. I know no news is good news from what I'm told. But am getting a little nervous. Will be driving from  NE  tomorrow.

we received our call on a Thursday before PIR but our grandson was in one of the earliest divisions-they usally go in order and have a sister/brother division that do Battle Stations on the same night-things happen and things dont always go as planned-I know they dont do Battle Stations on Friday because they have their competion between all the divisons then.  But, with the Navy that could happen, I suppose

Maybe if you go to the group for your PIR they know the BS21 dates-I just some of the them talking about it
I got my call the day before PIR as well. Just like brentsmom, our div went through Battle Stations on the very last possible night.

I got my call the day before PIR at 4:15pm sitting in my hotel room in Waukegan LOL talk about cutting it close but oh well I still got it :-) after 4mths I was tired of waiting LOL my son was injured and delayed but on to A school now.
