Yippeee!!!!  I've created this group.  I'm so proud of myself.  And I'm SOOOOOOOO happy that I got my son's address today.  It's day 4 since he left for BC and his recruiter called me with it this morning.  I can't wait to "meet" all of you!

My daughter is on this ship also

Same Ship and same Division?  That's awesome.  I thought my son was the only one there. LOL.  What's your daughter's rate and when did she get to BC?  Sorry for all the questions.  I'm just excited.
She is going in to be a meteorologist. I have not officially received my letter yet, but I called the recruiting officer and they gave it to me. Did you receive your form letter? She left on the 13th. I'm assuming her graduation is the 10th but the office did not have that information yet. I got her box with her clothes in it. It was very sad. My older son is in the Navy so I kind of know what to expect.
I got the box yesterday but no form letter yet.  That's an awesome rate "meteorologist."  That's terrific.  My son is IT.   The recruiter gave you her Ship and Division?  Have you started writing letters yet?  I've already sent quite a few.
I am sending my first letter today. yes he gave me her ship and division and said she will call with graduation date. Although if you already received the letter then she has the same graduation date as they all graduate together.

My middle son joined 2 years ago. He is in Groton CT on subs.  My youngest son is on this ship and div.  It feels like deja vu to come back for PIR.  Looking forward to meet everyone at the Meet and Greet Nov. 9th.  I have not received a letter but I did receive a call for security information for his clearance.  I definitely feel more comfortable this time around.  Where is your older son stationed?

drleeper- my first son is going to be going to Groton for sub training this week; his brother is in this one and I too feel a little more comfortable and more knowledgeable about what to expect. I can't wait for the Meet and Greet too, the first one was fun and it was great meeting everyone. This son will be an IT and going to Pensacola too..small world :)
my son in Groton is on the USS Alexandria.  He is underway right now somewhere in these oceans.  He's very close to receiving his Dolphins.  Your son will need to go through this process after A school.  It is very intensive.  Google the Dolphin pin and you will have a new found respect for our submariners.  My other son is graduating 11/10/11 like your son.  Our lives will be mirrored.  Are you planning to go to Pensacola this winter?  We will try if we can.

That is cool proudmom...when sub son comes home in Dec we plan on taking a road trip to Pensacola to see IT son :) Guess that is how I can tell the difference :)

My son reported to BC on Sept. 15. I got the "box" on Tuesday the 20th and today I got the letter. His PIR is 11/10/11.

So Hello everyone!

I hope I get my letter soon. I sent her address to all her friends too. Hopefully some of them will write but with instant messafing and texting, Im not sure they know how to write and mail a letter. My younger son said regular mail is sooo inefficient. Ha Ha
Ha ha ha....it's true.  I'll be shocked if my son remembers any phone numbers while he's there.
