I know I am just ready to get on the plane and be there. All my arrangements have been made! yay!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I don't think I will be getting the "I am a sailor" call, his mom probably will, I am just hoping I might get 30 seconds on the phone or something.
We seem to be a quiet group.  Where have ya'll booked your rooms at?  I'm on line right now trying to decide.  I'm so happy I got a letter from my son today.

Hi!

I booked at the residence inn.  Stayed at that hotel chain before & enjoyed. Has a kitchenette.  Booked flight tonight!! It's getting close. 1 week to print gate pass. Yeah!!!!

I received a letter today also. Not to be greedy, but a phone call would be great. LOL

Did your son mention if they won any flags?

No he didn't mention that. However he did mention something about his job changing slightly and he did not know what it meant.  He was supposed to go to San Deigo, but know he thinks he may stay in GL because it looks like he may have a dual job.

I'm kicking myself in the butt right now because we booked our flights a few weeks ago and we are leaving Sat. around 4pm, but from what I have read if he stays in GL that will mean I could have spent time with him on Sat and Sun.  If I get further comfirmation from him that he is staying in GL, I'm changing my flight no matter the cost.

I just booked my hotel with Spring Hill Suites.  My parent are going to and the it looked roomy.

I've already recieved two calls so I'm thinking I won't get another until the I'm a sailor call.  Did your daughter mention if they got any flags?  (You have a daughter correct, just checking that I'm not thinking of someone else.  Sorry if I have you confused.)

I have only had 1 call :-(     Her letters  usually describe how she is doing, not a thing about how the div is doing as a whole.LOL Going to San Antonio for school.

We are flying out Sat afternoon. Will try to catch up with her @ airport to give her cellphone & stuff.

Springhill suites is nice too!!

Hey ladies! I got two letters today from my SR.... glad to hear from him but sad that he isn't feeling well. He has been in and out of SIQ a few times and they did a chest x-ray because they thought he had fluid in his lungs. He says he is doing okay but he had a PT test the next day. I am kind of nervous because it is hell week for them and I wish he was in tip top shape...Haven't really gotten anything from him about how the division as a whole is doing, but that is one of my biggest questions.

Other than that I am staying with his parents on the trip for PIR so I have no idea where we are going to be at. My SR is going to be a MM and staying in GL for A-School.

Sorry that he has been sick. I heard alot of SR get sick while in GL. I guess because they are living is close quarters. I think their final PFA was last Friday. I was worried about my SR...but no news is good news!!

OK today is trivia Tuesday. Let's win a pic of 346!!

Hello Christy.  My SR is set to be a MM and staying in GL as well (at least that's what the plan was when he left home...)  He was able to make a quick call to his dad about a week and a half ago, and said he's had a cold, along with others in their group.

Navy Mom, in a recent letter, my son said the division is getting along well, which apparently is not the norm in bc.  He said the RDC's just make fun of them now instead of treating them like, well you know.

Less than three weeks to go, woohoo!

MomKaren. That is great that they are going to be doing the same thing. I hope they found that out early on and can stick together. haha

I am so glad to heart that they are all getting along well. I can't even imagine what it would be like to be with that many people for that long...

Hi,  I also have a daugter who is on your daughters ship and will be leaving for San Antonio.

I thought about bringing her stuff with her. Do you know what time they will be at the airport.

I have only had one call too and it was brief about 3 weeks ago. I am staying at the Residence Inn and will be

attending graduation. If you don't know maybe we will both find out that day. Thanks

If I hear anything, I'll let you know!!  I'm bringing her cell, sunglasses,Ipod, ect. I can give it to her at airport.

I've only had 1 call too!

Haven't heard any flight info yet....
