TOMORROW IS WACKY WEDNESDAY!

Each Wednesday at noon Central Time we will post a distorted photograph having to do with boot camp training. The first person to correctly identify what the photograph depicts will be declared the winner. For their reward, we will post a photo of the division of their choice.

The photo might be of an object or a recruit or recruits doing a specific training exercise. The training exercise must be identified exactly as it is described on our website at www.bootcamp.navy.mil. For example: If the photo depicts someone shooting a weapon, the correct answer would be weapons training. Not gun range, or shooting range, or just guns or just weapons, etc.

The answer must be posted within the same string/thread that the photo was posted. Do not post the answer separately on our page as those answers will be disqualified and deleted.

If a winner is from the same division as a previous winner's, it's still valid and we will still shoot another photo of the same division in a different setting. While that might not seem fair to others wishing they could see their division's photo, we will not penalize a winner merely because someone from that same division previously won. If a division has loved ones who are quick to decipher the photos correctly, then so be it. They will still be rewarded.

Got our 2nd letter today! It was postmarked yesterday, 03OCT.

A couple of highlights:

- She filled out the survey I sent and really liked it. I liked that she answered "C" to the last question:

33. Finally, What I think about Boot Camp surveys
a. LOVE them! How easy is this?
b. Jimbo! Please! I’m not at summer camp!
c. My dad is cool and more Recruits need a dad like him!

AWWWWWWW!!!!

- As of Sunday, they've won no award flags and have had 2 division IT sessions for talking and stupid stuff.

- She was excited that they had Luigi's Italian Ice at dinner.

- The girls are not working together as a team yet and she wants me to send a "buttload" of teamwork quotes.

- One guy keeps falling asleep...all the time...lol.

- Her wisdom teeth were not pulled but had a filling and the dentist was cool.

Otherwise, everything is good.

Jimbo - Awww - love the answer to 33.  Glad to hear that your daughter sounds happy and is working constructively to help pull the group together (asking for the quotes).  I find it hilarious that someone could keep falling asleep....wonder if it is a defense mechanism for stressful situations.

Hopefully everyone in the Division was able to send letters, cause I sure would love to get another one.

Since I seem to be the letter barometer, two more days!

That's awesome Jimbo.  She sounds great! I'll be shocked if my son answers my questionnaire. LOL.  Good for you!!!!
ha, she wants more questions! She did not use the envelope because she's not allowed.
:-) that is too cool. Congrats on being a great dad!

This is fantastic.  I have yet to hear from my son and hope he isn't the one that keeps falling asleep :)  If she mentioned it was Bryce let me know.

I am so glad this seem to be going ok :)

Bryce's Mom, LOL that's funny.
She doesn't know any of the guys other than the other dive mo's that she works out with.

I just got my first phone call!!!!  I didn't make it to the phone in time the first time and I just knew the missed call was from her and was so upset!  But then she called back.  She's sick :-( but in very good spirits.  She was talking very fast because she didn't know how much time she had.  She said they just got their first flag because they passed their PFA (physical fitness test) and she and another girl got to carry or help carry it....can't remember exactly but she was excited about that.  She said they have to have an average of 4.0 out of a 5.0 to pass and they got a 4.17.  I asked her about the showers and she said it is strange.  Their are about 100 that have to shower in about a 15 minute time slot lol.  The food isn't so bad and they don't get yelled at as much as she thought they would.  Short phone call but this mom is flying high tonight :-)  I hope I get to hear more from yall's phone calls!

Elizabeth :-)

Dawoman - I also got a call from my daughter - she sounded very happy,  but tired.  She's sick right now too!  It was so wonderful hearing her voice.

BTW, she said that someone was looking for Lizzie to say Hi!  Thanks Moms & Dads, said it made her day.  She also said that their week starts on Thursday and that today is Week 2, Day 5.
