This discussion is for those who have an SR in Ship 04, DIV 820 and 821,  PIR 10/14/11.   These are brother divisions and will be spending a lot of time together from what I understand.  Remember OPSEC rules and for security purposes...no pictures of your SR or names of SR.  God bless you all!

Awesome!! This has also been really hard for me too. I'm getting really anxious to see my son! I told him I'm gonna be happy, sad, anxious, every emotion possible at PIR :) He hasn't sent me any dates yet, but maybe tomorrow? I'll let you know. Thanks
Thank you so much.  Just received a letter from my son today.  He said he will be calling home a couple days before graduation.  I'm so excited for all our boys/girls and their families.  10 more days !!!!!  :)
Could I send a Verizon WiFi with my son. It's the size of a deck of cards? We never use it so I thought since someone said that they have no Wifi that I could send it with him?

I dont see why not.   I am considering sending a tablet that is wifi enabled.  Just excited about the idea of some semi-regular contact.

Are any of you staying at the Quality Inn for graduation?

no we are at the ramada- it has an indoor pool and we re travelling with 2 younger siblings.  plus shuttle.

That sounds like FUN!  We are traveling with 2 older siblings and we only live about an hour away.  We are planning on only spending Thrusday night so we don't have to wake up too early on Friday morning.
We are about 3.5 hours north.
we are planning another informal get together friday after we have the sailors back on base- will be so much more relaxed then.  I will have the squirrly 9 yr old boy and 13 yr old daughter.
We are at Homewood Suites.  We live 2 hrs east.  Bringing 1 younger sibling.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know there is a glitch in my message thing.  I can receive private messages, but can't seem to send them out.  Sorry.  If you have sent me a message in the last day, I have tried to respond, but can't.  I sent something to administrator, and hope to have it taken care of.  Hope you all are having a great day!

Hi everyone, I'm getting so excited, haven't heard any more about my son's injured knee or broken eardrum, so I'm going by the ' no news...' rule and praying he's still PIRing next Friday. I saw the post on here about wifi and am wondering if any one knows if they don't get internet in Great Lakes BUDS PREP. If so, I'm very ignorant about wifi embedded stuff. Help, living through boot camp so I could get to the days we could talk more often:)
